Rating: Summary: P ETER TOSH in depth interviews as well as BOB MARLEY Review: This is in my opinion is the best book on Peter Tosh . Although it is also about Bob the authors afinity for Peter Tosh shines through and true. Mrs. Fikisha Cumbo's interview are in depth but more so they are done in a relaxed setting without the normal time constrained setting of most interviews. She is able to capture Peter in a most playful attitude as he plays with his beloved birds and mongooses to his fervent rants about injustice to the black population. His anger ,his passion , his musings and his love of nature are explored . Fikisha starts as an interviewer but quickly becomes a admiring fan and dedicated friend whom Peter visits while in New York on several occasion. This musical genius and sufferer of many injustices by the record companies in Jamaica and the victim of a near death beating at the hands of police brutality rises above his means and above his fellow man as he engages his listeners to examine their role in the scheme of things. The book has beautiful pictures never seen anywhere else as they are taken by the author herself in most cases. I highly recomend this book to anyone interested in reggae or world music. Justice and equal rights first before peace is Peter's message .
