Review: "Fashion in Photographs" is a WONDERFUL book! It is filled with black and white unpublished photographs of men, women and couples in Victorian attire. Each picture has relevant commentary of tailoring, ettiquette, lifestyles relating to the person or garment shown. It is invaluable both for fashion detail and for the world of the Lady and Gentleman.The pictures are mostly of the upper class, but there are contrasting pictures of tradespeople and the common man, with discussions of the relevance of garments in all walks of life! It is wonderful for the manners as well as for the tailoring!
