Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Insights for the soul.
Review: Interviews with Icons-Flashing on the Sixties allowed me to find out the intimate thoughts of the people interviewed. I knew that Dennis Hopper was such an accomplished photographer but didn't know that he went on the Selma, Alabama civil rights march. Ginsberg is such an insightful and peaceful person. Leary was a real card, a comedian for sure and Viola Spolin had her fingers on the pulse of what really made the sixties click. The Vietnam vet spoke for all the casualties of that war. I cried when I read what he said. Peter Coyote is so famous now and he can thank Flashing on The Sixties for allowing him to speak out about his peers and their role in changing the face of America. I could go on forever but pick up a copy and see for yourself and if you are studying the sixties, it is a must.
