Summary: Gloriously beautiful photographs long overdue.
Review: I came across this book strictly by accident while visiting one of my favorite bookstores. I was amazed at its almost hauntingly dignified beauty, not only in capturing the intensity of dance, but also conveying a remarkable grace to the dancers and choreographers it presents. This book affirms the importance and contributions of African-American men in the world of dance. I fear that sometimes we forget and/or minimize those contributions. "Vital Grace" is a long overdue celebration of magnificent artists. Strongly recommended.
