Summary: Wonderful
Review: I have known Peggy Knight for many years, and I have been struck, over and over again, by the depth of her integrity and by her unflagging devotion to John and June. That this loyalty was repaid with treachery (through no fault of John and June, by the way)is another story, for another time and forum. I would quite literally trust this woman with my life.
Her detractors have axes of their own to grind, and I suspect some of them are writing reviews. Take it from me--I was THERE when some of those pictures were taken. They're on the level, and so is Ms. Knight.

Summary: Candid, Personal stories & insights over 34 years
Review: I never knew Johnny Cash had such a good sense of humor until I saw the picture of him wearing a Jamican "dread-lock hat" during what was his last Birthday party. (pg 61)
A great book of photos and stories! Peggy Knight has presented a personal insight to the lives of these music icons. She was a personal friend and valet for the family for over 34 years and has the perspective to help describe the people we only knew on stage.
The 34 years of photos in this book open our eyes to the family atmosphere of the Cash and Carter families, and help us understand who they were. Johnny, June, and all their family and friends, at work and at play, are in here. After reading / viewing the book I really felt like I knew these people better. Great Buy!

Summary: Letdown...
Review: There was a lot of hype surrounding this book. I was let down by the actual product. People were misidentified, names were spelled incorrectly and dates were noticably wrong. All of this from someone who was supposedly in the know. I will not buy any of her other books, for fear of being let down again.

Summary: Sweet memories
Review: This book is the real deal. Very sweet, touching remembrances of the great Cash, June and Mother Maybelle. Lots of never-before-seen pictures. Johnny Cash as a Rasta! Who'd-a thought that, I ask? The author has let us look into the private side of one of America's greatest heroes. He was a flesh and blood giant, and this perspective from a lady who was with him for over 30 years is intimate and special. Don't look for an encyclopedia here; this is a love letter, and that's what makes for a nice read.
