Rating: Summary: 50 is the real women's lib! Review: Rosemary Rogers and I had the best time writing this book because we realized that we're from a generation that has always made up its own rules -- from the sexual revolution to career to raising our kids on our own. We ain't our mothers, we ain't our older sisters and we ain't going down easy into the world of Depends. We wanted to write a book girlfriends could give to other girlfriends. Laughter is always the best antidote to life! xo linda stasi
Rating: Summary: Save your money for your old age Review: This book had virtually no content. Obviously I was not expecting _War and Peace_ from a title like _Boomer Babes_, but I thought it might actually have useful information about, ahem, maturation and style. No, just the authors laughing a little too hard at their own tired jokes. The latest women's fashion magazine--any magazine--is more helpful.Save your money for your old age. Even compounded at five percent it will do you more good than this book.
Rating: Summary: Right On! Review: This book is wonderful, at the age of 52 I find myself agreeing on most points in this book. This is a wonderful age and with the number of boomer babes in this country right now, we could hold a revolution of our own and make Hollywood and the advertising industry and the country realize that we aren't going quietly "over-the-hill". I have recommend this book to my friends, both women and men. It's funny, insightful, sexy, groovy and right on.

Rating: Summary: Encouraging, Funny, and Even Inspiring! Review: This one is a fast seller in our bookstore. Every time we get a copy of it in stock, out the door it goes, and with good reason! The authors offer suggestions on staying young that are just what you were looking for, but were afraid to ask about, or admit! (An example: the chapter entitled "Menopause: Is it Hot in Here, or is it Just Me?") The only reason we are not rating this book five stars, is because we think there are a couple of chapters that are a TINY bit short on actual how-to information. But ALL the chapters offer at lease SOME good advice, AND give you a laugh at the same time.
Rating: Summary: A waste of good paper Review: We bought this book thinking it would make a great gift for somebody approaching "over the hill-dom" After reading it, however, all I found is the rantings of some very bitter people trying to cover their fear with "humor." Linda Stasi's contribution is as trite, flat and childish as her NY Post column. It isn't a total loss though--we plan on tossing it into the fireplace for heat come winter.
