Summary: 'If Only'; a book about the rise to fame overnight.
Review: When I got this book for my birthday, I was overjoyed. When I was reading the book, I was overjoyed. Now that I'm finished, I am deeply touched by the way Geri Halliwell writes. She has had a troublesome life, even though we might not think it. She suffered from Bulimia and was even homeless for a while! This book is a clear depiction to us, of how the life of superstars aren't all perfect. It shows us the reason people become famous, they become famous because the have ambition and that is all you really need. That, and talent. Thank you so very much, Geri Halliwell for letting me see through your eyes.

Summary: Wanting It All, Having It All
Review: "If Only" is far from the usual teen-star "biographies". It is honest, funny, far from a kiss-and-tell, but still revealing of her Spicemates. (When Geri informs them of her decision to leave, Mel C. asks "You're not pulling a 'Robbie' on us, are you?", referring to Robbie Williams' infamous departure from Take That). She is kind about her co-horts, most especially Emma. One gets the feeling judging from how they once French-kissed each other on English TV, and how Geri says "I knew she was the one" in describing her joining the Spice Girls, that perhaps there were many nights when 2 indeed Became 1. That is all speculation on my part, as Geri says nothing of the sort in her book, but she did once say that one member of the group made her want to leave, and it wasn't Mel B.

This book is a must-read for Spice Girls fans, and even those who don't like the group will admire Geri's spunk, determination, Girl Power attitude. She worked her way up from near-nothing, and childhood tragedies, to become the worldforce that she is today. She is a tireless worker, and a real scrapper. I admire her for not candy-coating her very real trials in life. This book has something for everyone, and everyone should read it!

Summary: An amazing story of Geri's Life and Life after Spice
Review: "If Only" is an amazingly well written true life story of Geri Halliwell. This book made me laugh, cry and sympathize with the star. She tells her life as it is, from growing up on Jubillee Road, to her "wannabe" famous stage, her big break, life with the Spice Girls and Life after the Spice Girls. This UN Ambassador is a wonderful writter, I would recommend this book to anyone, you don't have to be a Spice Girls Fan to enjoy it. "If Only" give a whole new perspective on life, Geri's message come out loud and clear in her book, Never give up trying and strieving for something. If you want it bad enough, you can do it. And when things get tough never give up. Halliwelle's life is a perfect example and Geri is a wonderful example of Girl Power.

Summary: If Only Geri Hallliwell tells us the truth...
Review: i am a spice girls fan and bought this book hoping for a honest autobiography by Geri Halliwell. Instead, i couldn't help wonder why Geri seems to be hiding something. Readers shouldn't buy this book to find out why she left the group. Geri makes us feel sorry for her, like she was the victim of everything. She always never overreact when someone forces her or shouts at her. All she does is writes that she cries and cries because so many bad things are happening to her. Geri is always the victim such as photgraphers ridcule her and old friends betray her with pictures sold to the tabloids. Geri never says how she feels about those subjects but that she was sad that people can't accept her fame. This book is really nothing but more attention Geri needs and craves. After she left Spice, she says it was because they wouldn't let her do this breast cancer tv special (which she didn't do either after her leaving) because of the tight usa tour schedule. Geri leaves and then all of a sudden, she debuts a solo album hoping for more attention including this book. I can't help but wonder that this book on Geri's point of view is made up, considering that in real life, Geri's attacking Emma Bunton's solo career as well. The book has it's up as when Geri fights with her eating disorders but nothing much in this yawny book. In the beginning of the book, Geri says she was shocked at a concert that a girl stuck her middle finger at Geri. Geri felt really bad that she wasn't accepted by the girl and it seems that now, Geri is still conceit. This book is really nothing more than Geri trying to make you feel sorry for her in every way including that she stole some meat cause she wanted to cook her boyfriend a dinner.

Summary: IF ONLY I CAME ACROSS THIS BOOK EARLIER!
Review: Geri Halliwell deserves a standing ovation. Iam not a huge fan of the spice girls and was a bit unsure about this book thinking that it would be aimed for teenage readers.Geri really poors her heart out in this book over very personal issues , and takes the reader on a tour down the road she walked all the way to where she is today. I applaud her with her honesty in this book , and on some of the photos that she included in the book , photos in which she was subject to alot of criticism, a classic tale of "the past came back to haunt her" I truly admire her for her courage. All spice girls fans and non-fans will enjoy this book thoroughly and would not want the book to finish. When I started to read this I could not put it down and I was up reading this book up to 3:30 am every morning and I had to force myself to put it down so I could got to sleep.

Review: This is a really honest, intelligent read. I take my hat off to Geri Halliwell for her guts to open her life up like this. She seems like a really special girl. I didn't expect to, but I learnt alot from this book.

Summary: Great book
Review: Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell was an embarassingly cliched pop icon, but after leaving the Spice Girls, she seems to have found maturity and a new sense of life. This autobiography is both funny and touching. She writes surprisingly well too. A great book to read especially when you are at the beach, sorta like Jackie Collins.
