Rating: Summary: Tons of Detail, But It Isn't Correct Most of the Time Anyway Review: Getting this guide is up to you. It has a truckload of info and detail (not including the maps) that goes farther than the Nintendo guide, but a lot of the information is incorrect. What is up with the camera listings??? I found myself looking for cameras that were not in the level to begin with - then I looked in the Nintendo guide and found the right information. The maps are OK...I guess...not much detail in there at all. It's full color, but how am I supposed to know where the monsters are?
The guide has a complete walkthrough unlike the Nintendo guide, which merely has steps. Speaking about steps - you want to know the dance steps at Candy's danceshop? Well, it's listed here, though it doesn't list the spaces inbetween. This guide lists the KONG pieces seperate luckily, and has useful tips on beating DK attack. Get the guide, just be ready to face some difficulties.
Rating: Summary: Not A Good Guide To Monkey Around Review: Sometimes, a guide can be well worth its wait in gold, or bananas. That reall isn't the case from this guide. The Prima guide for Donkey Kong Country, the maps here aren't as detailed here as the original one Nintendo created for the Game Boy Advance, or even the original one Nintendo devloped for the Super Nintendo back in 1993. Arguably here, the maps aren't really set properly and just shows segments here, and can be very difficult at certain times. Nevertheless, it just shows that third-party guides aren't the right way to go. If you have Donkey Kong Country for the Game Boy Advance, get the guide from Nintendo instead. You'll beat the game much easier from that book.
