Summary: Read It And It Will Open Your Eyes
Review: There are many things in this book that make the death of Cobain very intrigueing and bizarre.

Many things Gant lists are documented. So many that it is staggering. Other parts cannot be corroborated.

The Seattle Police Department bungled the investigation and will not re-open the case to likely cover its own mistakes.

Who financially benefitted from the death of Cobain? Multi-millions of dollars were at stake. Every single penny he earned because of his brilliant artistic talent went to someone. When one purchases any Nirvana product someone who owns the rights to Nirvana material gets paid.

Why is evidence still suppressed Courtney Love? The most renown handwriting experts are on record stating Cobain didn't even write the "Suicide" portion of his retirement letter. Why were there documented cover-ups during the investigation of his death? This book will inform you. Read it.

Summary: Incredible eye-opener!
Review: I would recommend this book to anyone who wants more information on the Cobain Murder Investigation. It gives interesting details on Tom Grant's investigation and the evidence he has gathered so far. After reading this book, it does make you wonder whether or not Courtney Love had something to do with her husband's death. If anything, this book makes for good reading!

Summary: A MUST READ FOR ALL COBAIN FANS
Review: This book is brilliant and easy to read. It covers the life of Kurt pretty well and it also really makes you think about how he died. Did Courtney have anything to do with his death? Well, after reading this great book I must admit that I've got every reason to think she has something to hide. Wether or not she killed him or got someone to kill him you have to decide yourself after reading the book. The book dosen't answear a lot of questions but it sure raises alot of them ! A MUST READ FOR ALL COBAIN FANS.

Summary: Don't waste your money!!!!!
Review: Trust me when I say:DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! Do you think Kurt would have wanted garbadge like this written about him? The only reason everyone points the finger at Courtney is because they want someone to blame. They don't want to think that someone they loved would leave them so violently in the cold. Kurt Cobain had attempted suicide before and if you've read the book NOTHING ELSE MATTERS by Bev Cobain then you know Kurt was not the only one to commit suicide in his family. Kurt's own MOTHER has said that if it wasn't for Courtney he would've ended his life earlier. Are you going to trust Kurt's MOTHER or a bunch of dimwitted people who have never met Kurt before in their life? This book only quotes Kurt from the Come As You Are book by Michael Azerrad, which you should all buy instead. Remember all the "evidence" that they are talking about is CIRCUMSTANTIAL. It is said by Sergeant Cameron in 1994 to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer that the forensic evidence in the case makes murder nearly IMPOSSIBLE. Courtney wishes it be private and we should respect that. This wHOLE book bases itself on rumours and I repeat CIRCUMSTANTIAL "evidence". If it's circumstantial then it is just another theory in a long list of conspiracies that have no REAL evidence. Don't waste your money!!! Hey, at least you didn't spend $30 on the hardcover like i did. All in all, it's your choice if you want to buy this book or not. But if you do then have a good laugh. I know I did!!! Peace, love, empathy...

Summary: don't trust the CLovers!
Review: anyone who says that this book is tabloid trash is telling lies. the reveiwer from the boston globe didnt dismiss it as tabloid trash, and neither should you. interesting that the revised and updated edition is out of print... it's even better, because it shows how far courtney will go to infringe upon these guys' freedom of press. the fact is, if this was libelous tabloid trash, courtney could sue their asses off... but she has never sued anyone. why? the reason is simple. Tom Grant, a p.i. hired by courtney just before kurts murder, has recorded conversations with Rosemary Carroll, courtney and kurts lawyer, in which Carrol expresses doubts about kurts suicide, and expresses concerns about courtneys motives and possible involvement(ie. carroll knew kurt was divorcing courtney, as well as rewriting his will in the weeks prior to his murder). Grant played these tapes for the authors. so basically, courtney will never sue, because she wants this case buried; she knows all too well that a thorough examination of the evidence could very well implicate her in kurts death, and at the very least would clear up the suicide myth. the more you dig, the deeper it goes. so DIG, people!

Summary: Skip the first 1/2
Review: I barely made it through the biographies of Kurt and Courtney (which take up the first 1/2 of the book), but I'm glad I did. The last 1/2 deals with the tabloid-esque title very well. Interesting coincidences and possible cover-ups are revealed. It was enough to make me think twice about Kurt's death.

Summary: Biased book that reads like "The National Enquirer"
Review: I wouldn't reccomend this book to ANYONE. It made my blood boil. Only a few pages are dedicated to Kurt Cobain, and the rest is boring Courtney-bashing. The authors admit they have never met Courtney Love NOR Kurt Cobain, and their information is based on what they read in tabloid magazines, such as "Globe" and "Vanity Fair", and Hank Harrison's (Courtney's father who gave her acid as a child) drug-induced ramblings and stories. The book often contradicts itself, becomes boringly confusing, and is VERY hard-to-beleive. For example, the book claims that Courtney Love offered some overweight metal band-leader dressed in leather and chains named "el Duce" $50,000 to kill her husband, then they say that Kurt died of not suicide but a herion overdose, and then the drug dealer came along and blew his head off and wrote a fake suicide note (In Kurt's exact handwriting? I don't think so) to make it look like he killed himself..... THEN they ramble on about how they think COURTNEY killed him. The only good points are in the back of the book, there are some interesting photocopies of Kurt's suicide note, missing person reports, and letters from Courtney Love, ect. There is also a morbid picture of Kurt Cobain's body being carried away.... but overall, don't waste your money. If you want to read a REAL, tear-inducing book that focuses on reality and Kurt's LIFE (with a chapter on his death in the end), go out and get Michael Azzerad's "come as you are: The story of Nirvana".

Summary: Why is the murder theory case not re-opened?
Review: A superb book full of facts and stories relating to the mysterious events and unsolved circumstances relating to the death of my hero, Kurt Cobain. Was his sucicide note just a musical retirement note to his loving fans? Why is there someone else's handwriting on the so called suicide note? The legal systems in America must re open this case and send whoever killed Cobain down...Courtney Love? I recomend this book to anyone...even if you hated NIRVANA and thought Cobain was just a junkie, read this book and bring Cobain's killer to justice.
