Rating: Summary: CRAP!! Review: this book is absolute crap..first of all, the title is crap. Kurt killed himself, as suicide. this book is totally fake and not factual at all. this author is crap and fake!!
Rating: Summary: A must read only if you want to goto sleep Review: I'm amazed at how authors like Ian can "pretty up" the Cobain story, the man to myth. Why read a fairy tale about Kurt? Factual accounts of Kurt's life and music make him far more real and interesting than this attempt at icon building. The attempt to magnify Kurt by the half-truths in this book fail. Far better books have been written about Kurt, Factual accounts make him more real than Ian's little story. Read Christopher Sandford's book if you want a cold look at who and what Kurt Cobain really was. This book is not worth the paper it's printed on. Buy it only if you need fuel for the fire.
Rating: Summary: Coutney had him wacked lets face it Review: Three cheers for Tom Grant, Kurt was a junkie but he didn't shoot himself and it's an injustice that he is degraded as having done so, as he had an distinct individuality, intellignace and courage in being himself that is rare in mass marketed rock-also a great voice and some songs. It is thanks mostly to Tom Grant and Courtney's Heroin induced blundering that the truth had come to light so check out Tom Grant's web sight, cause he deserves lots of respect over this, read the book and don't let the common held misconception ruin your enjoyment out of Nirvana's tunes. If only his ex-band mates would rally to get the truth investigated properly!!
Rating: Summary: Good Presentation of events, facts and opinions Review: Occasionally a you would get an anti-Courtney Love feel to the book , but over all the author did a good job in trying to give a non biased view of the events surrounding Kurt's death. The book makes you think; especially about the underlying character of Cobain. I recomend this book highly if you are interested in a varied presentation of his death etc. and are sick of the usual ideas and meloncoly drama stories. There was also a feeling of respect towards Kurt in this book while investigating more of his connections to his friends, family and acquantances, than just the popular scapegoating of a"suicidal mindframe."Good read-Good book.
Rating: Summary: Buy This Book NOW! Review: Ok, you've heard a few theories that Kurt Cobain may have been murdered, but you always thought it was suicide. Read this book and I guarantee you'll change your mind and at the very least questions the suicide verdict and consider murder. And if you put it all together, you'll see this scandal goes all the way to the top of a certain record company exec and an organization that's so secretive I can't mention the name. Read this book, it's worth every penny.
Rating: Summary: what if... Review: i just finished reading this book: it's excellent, well-written, with a fair and balanced point of view. it's left me with a nagging feeling that it is altogether possible that kurt might have been murdered. it certainly raises doubts in any reasonable person's mind that this was the open/shut suicide as was presented to the public by the seattle police. the authors do a great job of presenting the incontrovertible evidence that kurt's death begs an investigation by the FBI.as another reviewer suggested, i'm certainly going to do what my conscience dictates and donate money to the lone detective, tom grant, who has kept this case alive. i am now convinced that tom grant is not in it for money or publicity. he seeks justice for kurt, for the families of copycat suicides, for frances... i am left with the uncomfortable feeling of "what if kurt WAS murdered?" it is surely plausible after reading the circumstantial evidence in this book. in fact, it's probable. R.I.P. kurt. we still care.
Rating: Summary: A must read for every Nirvana/Cobain fan Review: I read this book and was totally [ticked] over all the evidence... Buy this book, read it and decide for yourself. Then send Tom Grant your lunch money for the week.
Rating: Summary: a very informative and interesting book Review: Let me start off by saying that I was a big fan of Nirvana. When I first heard people talking about Kurt being murdered I didn't take it very seriously. When I first got this book I couldn't put it down at all, it is very interesting and well-written. It provides many, many facts in regards to Kurt's mysterious death, and as you keep reading, it becomes clear that 'suicide' was probably not the reason for his death. I highly recommend this book to fans of Kurt/Nirvana. If you read it with an open-mind you will see that the man did not kill himself and that there were other factors involved in his death.
Rating: Summary: Cobain & Love Review: Courtney Love may have killed Kurt Cobain.
Rating: Summary: HMMM Review: I really feel that Kurt Cobain was sucicidal but he never was able to do it. So I do not think he committed sucide I do have to wonder if someone easily did this because he referenced it so much that he wanted to kill himself so it is easy for anyone to say he just killed himself but most people that write about it all the time never do it is the silent ones who kill themselves. I think he knew his life was going to end short but I have reason to beleive that when he did die that he did not kill himself that someone else did it for him. This book will open you up to many possibilities his death was not covered properely it never did seem quite right. We will never know...
