Rating: Summary: DS9 #16 Invasion! Time's Enemy - Absolutely brilliant! Review: "Time's Enemy" is, quite easily and hands down the best Star Trek novel written by the LA Graf writing team of Julia Ecklar and Karen Rose Cercone that I've ever read. Quite often, I've found myself having problems with their novels. That is not the case with "Time's Enemy," as it is an extraordinarily intriguing and overly enthralling novel from cover to cover. The entire premise, plot setup, execution and overall theme behind "Time's Enemy" make for an excellent read and third novel in this first crossover series in Star Trek fiction!It is exactly this novel that makes me continue to pick up new LA Graf Star Trek novels with their pen name on it, in hopes of finding another one of their stories that reaches the glory and potential that "Time's Enemy" does. The cover art for this novel is nothing extraordinary and is, somewhat behind the time as it has Captain Sisko with hair, considering that he only had the hair for one or two shows after his promotion. The premise: Captain Sisko, Dax and Bashir are called to Starbase One, which is at the fringe of the Terran system by Admiral Judith Hayman. Once there she asks them to review some data chips, which they do and it doesn't take them long to discover that they're from the Defiant under his command, and these data chips describe in some detail, the destruction of the Defiant. They soon learn that these chips were found aboard the Defiant, which had been encased in a comet in the Oort Cloud surrounding the Terran system for over five thousand years... What follows from there is nothing less than one of the most spectacular and intriguing novels ever written in the Star Trek line of fiction. I highly recommend this novel either as a stand alone in the Deep Space Nine series or as the third in the "Invasion!" series as it furthers that series extremely well, for it is here where we finally get some of the history of the Furies and the why behind their invasion today. {ssintrepid}

Rating: Summary: THE best Invasion! book Review: After the extremely disappointing "Soldiers of Fear" which was a TNG book-go figure it would be disappointing. Since Deep Space Nine is THE best Star Trek series(look at Voyager), any book involving Deep Space Nine would automatically be worth a read. Well, except "The Laertian Gamble" and "Vengeance." Anyway, the single most innovative plot twist(and that's saying alot, since the whole book is a giant plot twist), was probably the Dax symbiont. All the characters are believable, and I can see as well as hear them and their actions. This book explains how the Furies' were driven away, which in my opinion was a need-to-know. Anyway, this is a breath of fresh air after the horrible "Soldiers..." BUY THIS BOOK!
Rating: Summary: this should have been the next movie!!! Review: Any person (or alien) who loves adventure and Deep Space Nine, will love this book! Aliens from 5,000 years in Earth's past... Aliens who devour cortical mass in order to become intelligent enough to take over the Alpha quadrant and win a war millennia old...with The Furies...and Dax is the only one who can stop them! What a ride!
Rating: Summary: The L.A. Graf crew make it happen. Review: Commander Sisko, Jadzia-Dax, and Doctor Julian Bashir are summoned by Star Fleet to examine material recovered from an intercepted block of space-debris. This turns out to be the remains of the Defiant and her crew. But from thousands of years in the past. With time against them, Sisko and his colleagues, with assistance from the surviving old, old Dax, have to figure out what happened to the Defiant, and stop the event from happening. I was very impressed with this book's quality of writing; something I don't really expect much of from TV-tie-in titles. ( Okay, K. W. Jeter does good ones, too ). The only letdown was the use, yet again, of the 'Alien' theme, which has by now, I would have thought, been more than flogged to death.

Rating: Summary: A great book, in a very interesting series!! Review: First off, I'm not a big fan of DS9 books, but this was very good. Now to answer people's question as to "how it relates to the fury thing", well if you took any real notice of the story, you would have seen how those aliens plus the crew's answer to getting rid of them relates to the Furies (I can't really go into too much detail without giving the story away). Overall, the series was very fun for me to read! I bought all 4 books in one go, and read one after the other, and they were all great! Showing how each Trek crew reacted to the Furies, and how human they really can get! Even vulcans!!
Rating: Summary: Absolutely intriguing story Review: Goodness, this is still my favorite book ever since I bought it in '96. DS9 was not my favorite series until I read this book. LA Graf has truly written a masterpiece when it comes to character inteactions, plot twists (there's a KILLER one at the end... I'll let you read to find out what it is!), and grasp of 24th century thinking in the way of time travel and how everything works on a starship. I have reread this book over 10 times since I purchased it, and I find something new everytime I read it that sparks my imagination. I know that this is the largest book in the Invasion! series, but I hope that more people will buy this series, Invasion!, and see what all the hype is about for this DS9 book! It's excellent, and you won't want to put it down! Happy reading!
