Summary: great pictures!
Review: I have been a Stones fan for a long time and own several picture/coffee table books about them already, but I bought this book immediately after it was published in London. This volume has some of the greatest tour photography in it that I have ever seen. Only Annie Leibovitz' photo documentation of their 1975 American tour (some of it is included here)comes close to it. The book is a high quality production, both the color and the black and white images are very, very good. Do not buy this book for the text or a comprehensive road history of the Stones. That is the only weak point here (hence 4 and not 5 stars): the text, mostly quotes, is definitely weak. But there are other Stones books for that. This book is for the seasoned fan who is excited about reliving some of the greatest concert moments in these wonderful pictures, some of which have never been published before.

Summary: THE GREATEST ROCK 'N' ROLL BAND FOR ETERNITY
Review: I have been a Stones fan since the age of 14 (it all started with "Miss You", a pink vinyl maxi-single), and that maxi-single really changed my life. Thanks to the Stones, I was able to discover the blues; without the Stones, I would have never known about Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson, Little Walter, etc, etc. I got the book for my 35th birthday from my wife, and just loved it. The layout, the pics (I think Keith's the coolest Stone), the commentary, all well crafted into this beautiful coffee table book from Jools Holland. A great treasure to last for a long time. Thanks!

Summary: An elegant and indulgent treat .
Review: This book is beautifully designed and laid out. I have read dozens of books on the stones and most of the pictures in this book I'd never seen before, which makes it really special and worthwhile. Great rare photo's of Brian Jones. The text is "in their own words" mostly, and not too deep (much is taken from the interviews done in the excellent 25 x 5 video compilation). The richness of this book is the never seen before photo's and the sumptious design.

Summary: Excellent coffee table book!
Review: This book takes the reader through time, from the first Rolling Stone concert tour to the recent "Bridges To Babylon" tour. It has some great photos of the band and their past tours. From their small club tours to their big stadium tours, as well as rare photos. After almost four decades they can still play the Blues. The Rolling Stones have made music history.

Summary: Worthy
Review: This has some great photos, and good quotes by the Stones themselves. I had, though, seen their video "25 x 5" and thought it cheating to reproduce in this book quotes that I'd already seen them say in that video. But most of the quotes are new. And seeing all they've done on the road, singing to stadiums full of people, made me sometimes think as I looked through it that that is the only life worth living. I've seen the Stones live, and when they come out, it is such an adrenaline rush that goes through the audience. Can you imagine the adrenaline rush of the guys on stage!
