Summary: More than a thousand quotes
Review: Sheila Anderson's QUOTABLE MUSICIAN offers quotes and vignettes from a range of musical genres, from rock to classical to hip hop music. More than a thousand quotes are accompanied by explanations of their origins, making for a title which goes beyond a quote bible to explore the insights into musicians and the music industry reflected in each saying.

Summary: Fun Book!
Review: This book is great fun and a breezy read. The quotes, from an eclectic array of musicians, have breadth and humor. But it's not just quotations! Intriguing interviews with musicians are interspersed throughout. And the best part is a list of the author's own favorite works of music. It too is an eclectic and interesting mix, but I have to admit I really love that old Dee Dee Bridgewater tune, "Sweet Rain" myself.

Summary: What Musicians Say When They're Not Saying It with Music
Review: What musicians say when they're not playing their instruments or singing their songs is shrewd, surprising, and provocative, and "The Quotable Musician" gives it to us straight up. Brava to Sheila E. Anderson for listening and for orchestrating this composition of musical wit and wisdom for us all to enjoy. Encore! Encore!
