Rating: Summary: Kinsley's Garage Sale Review: Avoid cliches whenever possible... and it is always possible. Mike Kinsley knows this and offers a collection of his essays and editorials that try very hard to offer an unusual spin on political events and issues. Sometimes this leads to pieces that are quite simply irrelevant and gimmicky, but at other times Kinsley's sparkling wit and sarcastic bite will produce truly memorable essays. His book review of that dismal tell-all by Carville and Matalin is simply one of the finest pieces of writing I have ever come across-- it floored me. Sometimes, unfortunatley, Kinsley falls prey to the most common liberal flaw: He cares too much what conservatives think. This leads him to go for the unpredictable when he really should go for the jugular.
