Review: This book and LeMoir's How to Become a Deadly Chess Tactician are the best tactics books on the market. Its that simple. LeMoir's book is more conventional, while The Magic of Chess Tactics contains some deeper analysis- both books are excellent.
The Magic of Chess Tactics is thoroughly organized and contains study material for both the middlegame and endgame, and replaces books such as Nunn's Tactical Chess Endings (1981). Aagaard will be writing a book on chess tactics to be published early next year and I expect it to be original and of high quality.
