Summary: Oh Dear....
Review: This book doesn`t compare very well with any other recipe books you will have seen - there are no pictures of the finished dishes for a start. A lot of the "celebrities" you won`t have heard of - that shouldn`t matter if the recipes are good. Its a very American book and doesn`t travel well; the quantities are measured in "cups", oven temps quoted in Fahrenheit only and products not available anywhere else (what are "graham crackers"??) There are lists at the back of bands with food names and songs with food names (brilliant journalism girls) and the authors thank you pages are hilarious - thanking their cats and themselves for the joy-filled experience of working with each other. I realise a recipe book has to have some simple ones included, but Hot Rod Hot Dogs - buy some hot dog sausages, buy some white buns, add some relish and mustard. Enjoy! Peanutbutter on Toast Sandwiches, buy some peanutbutter, toast some bread. Enjoy! They`re having a laugh, aren`t they? But this book is supporting a charity. It doesn`t actually say how much of the proceeds are going to Freedom From Hunger, just "some".....so I suggest you give your donation directly to the charity instead of buying this

Summary: Rockin' Cookbook!
Review: What an awesome book! Not only does it have terrific recipes but it is very entertaining and informative! My daughter wanted to know what every rock star liked to eat Backstage! We're actually fighting over who will read it first! We can't wait to try out some of the recipes! What a nice idea to donate some of the proceeds to Freedom From Hunger. YOU GUYS ROCK! Review: What an inspiration to get in the kitchen and cook. This book has become that motivation for me. Not only is it packed full of an assortment of wonderful recipes from musical artists and others, it's an entertaining masterpiece. This book goes beyond any cookbook I've owned because it's an enjoyment to read in itself, very humorous and entertaining. Each recipe includes a summary of the artist's career and enjoyable stories about the recipes. There are also very entertaining and informative question and answer sections throughout the book. The layout is a musical theme as if you were at a concert...front row center of course or maybe even backstage! This book has it all, but most importantly it is a labor of love from the authors and contributors because some of the proceeds from this book are going to charity, Freedom from Hunger.Basically this book is for almost anyone...I'd recommend this book to anyone who wants a great collection of recipes and who wants to be entertained. And knowing you're supporting a worthwhile charity makes you want to rock that kitchen even more!
