Summary: David Bader is a new, fabulously talented, literate humorist.
Review: David Bader's, "How to Be and Extremely Reform Jew" is a brilliant and gentle picture of the frequently conflicted world of the Orthodox and Reformed Jew. The author has taken a sensitive subject and treated it with such such great insight and humor, that no one can reasonably take offense. Although the level of his humor is uniformly high, quoting excerpts does a disservice to both the author and the potential reader alike. I look forward to his next book.

Summary: Pretty funny but...
Review: I am a Jew-by-Choice (by-marriage) I found this book Hilarious, but my husband who is "ethnically" jewish found it bordering on racial slurs. Perhaps he hit too close to home... When he when to a cousin's bar mitzvah last week, he wore his tallit like a scarf! He didn't know how to put on one even though our reform rabbi wears one to every service! So, I get my loving nickname back: shiksa because I actually laughed at this book! OY! Like many jews he really doesn't know what the Yiddish word shiksa translates as...

Summary: Hilarious! Really. I'm still enjoying it.
Review: I read this months ago. It was funny, very clever, I laughed etc. Now, I keep finding things in it I didn't notice before. Was just thinking about Purim, leafed through the book again, and discovered "Glengarry Glen Purim," a "David Mamet Purim Play." The Passover Chapter has a Cole Porter version of one of the Passover songs. This is truly funny! Anyone who is offended should get over it -- it's classic satire, and much more intelligent than most other Jewish humor these days

Summary: Funny, on target. Gave me a name for what I am. I loved it!
Review: I've been extremely reform for years, but until I found this book I didn't know what to call myself. Now that I know, I'll probably start to feel guilty and terrible. As soon as I stop laughing. This is one of the funniest books I have ever read. I wish it were longer.

Summary: Hilarious
Review: My wife and I laughed ourselves silly. The fact that we are of the persuasion of the the book's title probably has a little to do with this, but anyone would enjoy this book. Even (especially) if you happen to already be a reform Jew, don't pass this little book up.

Summary: Let's convert to this religion :)
Review: This book is one of the funniest books I have read. I have tested this book on both Jews and non Jews, and they all laughed themselves to a near death experience ...

I have got so much laughters out of it, I'm considering conversion :)
