Summary: "Star Trek" for those not familier with "Star Trek"
Review: My fiance doesn't care for "Star Trek." She prefers "90210" or "Days of our Lives." However, she lost a bet, and promised to read one Star Trek novel that I selected. I chose "Imzadi."

She liked it. A lot. Peter David has always been one of favorite authors, and with "Imzadi," pesents not only a rollicking, fast-paced, page-turning sci-fi adventure, but a touching, warm-hearted love story. This is "Star Trek" at its best. I highly recommend "Imzadi" to any die-hard Trekker, and to anybody wondering what all the fuss is about.

Summary: Best Star Trek:The Next Generation Novel Ever!
Review: If you ever wondered about Will and Deanna' relationship prior to serving onboard the Enterprise, this is a must-read-book. It's the best-detailed novel of their relationship from the start to the present and even into the furture that I have ever read. You get to meet Deanna prior to her serving on the Enterprise and you get to meet Riker prior to serving the Enterprise. You also get to see the possible future of the people that are serving onboard the Enterprise as well. Peter David has become my favorite Star Trek: The Next Generation author around after reading this novel. Hats off to Peter David! I'm always looking forward to reading more Next Generation novels from him.

Summary: Peter Davids' world for us readers
Review: I read all kinds of books, from biographies to science fiction, and I feel this book hit me hard. As a Star Trek fan,I decided to buy this book because I have always wondered about Will and Deanna's relationship. It was perfect! Hats off to Peter David, who through this book(and numerous others) has shown his love for writing. It was well researched and well written. Peter David has mastered his writing skills and has made it easy reading with all the time leaps. This book has everything from the possible future to the first detailed days of Will and Deannas first meeting. It is really with out question the best book I have read. It is a book for everyone, not just Star Trek fans. I hope evryone realizes this. It is a dream that is brought to life through marvolous writing and exceptional skills.

Summary: Imzadi ROCKS!!!
Review: Everything you could possibly dream of is in this book: action, humour, friendship, and of course, sex. What I loved about this book is the funny dialogue. It was also interesting to uncover the relationship between Riker and Troi before they came to the Enterprise. Imzadi explores love, and would touch any reader's heart

Summary: A wonderful story
Review: This is not only an action packed adventure, but a tale of romance and courage at it's best. The plot will knock you off your feet and the characters will sweep you away. It tells of some of the history of Deanna and Will before The Next Generation and continues into a possible future. It also provides interesting insight into the "Gatekeeper" who lives(or exists?) outside of time. This is an excellent book for all ages

Summary: The BEST ST book I've ever read!!!
Review: I love this book (I love all books) because it gives the reader a lot of background on the Riker/Troi relationship. It's very hard to read (with all the unannounced time travel; they do that a lot in ST...), but once you get used to it, it's great. The challenge gives the book an even higher rating in my book. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this a ten (didn't I already say that?)

Summary: Imzadi is not only a Star Trek story
Review: In fact, I am not only an Imzadi reader, but the translator of it here in Brazil. I must say that I feel very proud of being instrumental to make this wonderful story available to brazilian readers, trekkers or not. This is not only a very good ST story, with its characters acting in great form, but also a good story anywhere. There are funny moments, dangerous moments and, of course, romance, as this is the story of Riker and Troi relationship. I think it would be a wonderful movie. It is an engaging story. I know a lot of people, including myself, that started reading it and could not put it down until the very (double) end. And the idea of putting an end to both timelines as wonderful and moving

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best TNG Book
Review: This book is great! The past between Troi and Riker is well written, but different from facts in the show (supposing the time the book was made, I can see this). The parts on Betazed and in the jungle were great, as well as the (don't read this if yo it)kiss between Riker and Troi at the end of the 'present'. Fills in a lot of blanks

Summary: The Best Star Trek Book Ever Writen
Review: I was in tears by the end of this book and it is a must have for anyone who loves Star Trek. It tells the story of the passion Troi & Riker shared and by the end you want to scream at them for not being together!

Summary: Excellent "voice-acting," well-abridged
Review: Before buying the audio cassette of "Imzadi," I read the book which I absolutely loved. I'd always thought that there was a lot of story potential in the Troi-Riker romance storyline that was never developed in the TV episodes. Listening to the tape (narrated by Jonathan Frakes) was the next best thing -- but that's not to say that it was a "secondbest" effort! Not at all!

The audio tape was great! It has a lot of sound effects which make it easy to imagine the scenes. And Jonathan Frakes for all the jibes he has endured about being a second-rate actor, was incredibly good as narrator and voice for all the characters in the story. (He's got that distinct Deanna Troi accent down pat! And his Jean-Luc was golden!) It's easy to forget that all the voices are being done by one person. I thoroughly enjoyed it and have listened to the tapes several times by now.

Also, as is inevitable with audio versions, the story was abridged, but very cleverly so as to maintain the continuity and tension of the story. In some respects, the audio tape story is stronger for its terseness. I highly recommend this tape!
