Summary: This book is excellent.
Review: Peter David does an awesome job of tying in the tv series with his books, plus, he also mixes the original star trek with the next generation which makes the story lines more consistent. Peter David is a talented writer. Anyone who reads this book is in for a real treat.

Summary: Star trek doesn't always have to be about technical stuff!!!
Review: I am happy to see a book that is not just about flying around the galaxy and destoring Romulans and Klingons. The fact that Peter David bodly went where no other writer of a Star Trek novel would dare to go is wonderful. If you want normal people to read books about techno-garble, you must give them a change once in a while. As to the fact that the book is not true to their characters is not true. Anyone who has watched the series and read the books know that there has always been a bit of love and tension between Troy and Riker. This book explains there past and gives an insite into the relationship between them. The past paves the way for the future. With out the past the future doesn't exsist. If you are still tring to decide on whether to buy this book then borrow it from your libary and read it. You will instantly fall in love and buy the book to read over and over again.

Summary: Isn't it funny how its either 5 stars, or 1?
Review: Honestly, Imzadi is still my favorite book of all time. No book has ever captured my interest, and I've read a lot in my little teenage lifetime. One thing that I've learned is that you should always see if you like a book for yourself, for only your mind can judge the quality of it.

Summary: The best, most intense, and most involving TNG book ever!!!!
Review: This by far is my favorite Star Trek book of all. It's unique order somehow lends a realness to the story that not many other books possess. The story itself explains a great deal about the characters of both Counselor Deanna Troi and Commander William Riker, and their interactions, on both professional and personal level, throughout the TNG series. This book enlightens fans everywhere as Peter David delves into the murky past, and shines a probing light on the mysteries of the relationship between the two who call each other Imzadi. Peter David then turns that same beacon of light into the future, and allows us a small glimpse of what is to come...or more precisely, the possibility of what is to come. Peter David has just the right mix of everything that he puts into his writing. This story grabs your heart, and your imagination from the very beginning. I've read my (hardcover) book so many times that I can open it to any page and recite it almost word for word; I just couldn't seem to put it down. You are not a true TNG fan if you haven't read this book. Peter David has written a masterpiece that will live on in Star Trek history for ever.

Summary: A Trekker's Prerequisite...
Review: You simply cannot be a real STTNG fan without reading this book. Intricate weaving of details allows the book to explain a lot of the innuendo and "inside stories" constantly referenced by the series. A keystone piece.

Summary: Absolutely exquisite
Review: Imzadi is without a doubt the most moving and involving novel I've ever read. It stands not only as a superlative ST:TNG novel, but an excellent novel, period. Peter David has a superlative grasp of character, humor, plot *and* action -- a rare commodity. He delves into the very heart of the Riker/Troi relationship -- and captures the reader's heart. I reread this book the very next day after I'd read it the first time, then forced two friends to read it. Peter David is a gem.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Interesting exploration of the Riker/Troi relationship
Review: Interesting exploration of the Riker/Troi relationship but deeply flawed. The characterisations don't quite ring true and in it William Riker's middle name is Thelonius not Thomas as it should be. I hear there's going to be a sequel to this Imazadi II. I hope's better don't bother with this one. Apart from being well written it doesn't have much else to merit it.

Summary: This book is the reason paper shredders were created...
Review: This book has got to be absolutely one of the worst books I've ever read. Riker is a womanizing creep who can't keep his pants on for one night, and this book proves it. There should ba a warning on the side - "Do not let innocent unsuspecting people read this trash!". This was the only Star Trek book that never made the NYT bestseller list in paperback, and it's obvious why. It's sad, really, that Peter David can write so many good books and then this one. It's a stain on his record.

Summary: One of, if not the most pathetic Star Trek book in history!
Review: This book is the sappiest book I've ever read! It is horrible! The plot is so over-used, it's not even interesting with a Star Trek premise! It's like a Daniel Steele novel! I recommend this book to only my worst enemies!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: My absolute favorite!
Review: This is my absolute favorite book. It is the best book I ever read. Troi and Riker are my favorite characters and this explains everything about them. I love it!!
