Written in clear, non-esoteric language, this book can be enjoyed by church musician and lay person alike. Learn the historical, social and theological background of our hymn heritage. Though published by an unabashedly evangelical-friendly house, this book does not advocate for any particular style of music, but rather embraces all hymnody that has reflected and/or influenced communities of faith.
