Summary: A great story - a great band
Review: At last someone has told the story of The La's. I was around in Liverpool at the end of the eighties and saw them play many times. The excitement and 'buzz' that they created was amazing -I'd never really seen anything like it before and I don't think I've seen it since !! The book is a little rough at the edges and does'nt go far enough in expressing the real reason why this band disintegrated - a cautionary tale. However, it does a great job of describing the characters in the band and of discussing the content of the music as well as describing the rise and fall. A must read for any music fan young or old.
