Summary: Sorry, not good!
Review: Having just read "Crossing the Line" by Martin Huxley I would like to say, "Don't waste your time!". I'm a huge Em fan and this book told me absolutely nothing that I didn't already know. It appears all the author has done by way of research is watch the same MTV interviews that we all have, and regurgitate Em's lyrics from the CD's. I waited ages for this book to be published, but was really disappointed. The only few pages of the book that are worth looking at are the photos of the man himself.

Summary: Pathetic
Review: How great to produce a book whose sole reason for existence is to capitalize off the sensationism surrounding this sad and ignorant individual: This mini celebrity who has found his 15 minutes of fame by "outrageously" denigrating gay and lesbian people, women and other minorities, and by putting on an stupid, adolescent version of machismo, to appeal to teenie-bopper girls, pubescent boys and urban rednecks. Fantastic idea for a book! I really commend the social conscience here: "Kill my mom!" "Smack the bitch!" "I hate fags!" What a baaaad Boy! Give me--and the American entertainment consumer--a break.

Summary: WRONG!!!!
Review: I actually haven't bought this book or even read it. Only read the excerpts here on amazon.com and won't waste my money. I am a huge Eminem fan and this guy is WRONG!!!! Eminem was born in 1972-he just had his 31st birthday in October. If the guy can't even get his birthday right I won't waste my time or money!!

Summary: Inaccurate...
Review: I bought this book for a school report. I really look up to Eminem as an artist, sure says out this world things, but if you really think about what he is saying you can tone it down and a lot of time relate his whacky real-life story songs to your own life. I'm not much of a book reader, but I had a very easy time reading this book and learning about my favorite artist. I highly recommend this book!

Summary: only ok
Review: I didn't like this book much because I already knew most of the things in the book. But I am a huge Eminem fan and there isn't much I don't know. To me it seemed like Martin Huxley just read Rolling Stone and Spin, and watched some mtv interviews and then wrote a whole book. But if your someone who doesn't know much about Eminem, then you may like this book.

Summary: A Slim Shady View
Review: i really enjoyed learning a bit more about my favorite rap artist!! it was well structured. this book went deeper into his life than i had ever been able to see, but might have focused too much on his alter-ego slim shady, when in real life he isnt as...evil??

Summary: Disappointed
Review: I was disappointed when I read this book. This book seemed as if it were written for a 10 year old. It was very easy to read with big print. Most of the information I already knew and Eminem's words were hardly spoken in the book. Don't waste your money.
