Rating: Summary: one of the best books i've ever read...... Review: this book is LITERALLY one of the best books I have EVER read... Morgan tackles issues such as "the strong black woman" and "the endangered black male" in ways that allow younger feminists or just younger black women in general to access her ideas. A GREAT READ.
Rating: Summary: Down on the Realy Real Review: This book is one book that will be read throughout the ages of hiphop culture and how the the deterioation of the Black Family is becoming non-existent in today's society. The author tells very heart to heart stories of truth, experience, and research on the catch 22's of being a black man and black woman in America. I'm a guy and this book is very insightful, motivating, and puts things in perspective about achievement of becoming the best person or mate you can be to someone else. A must read for all women not just black, but this book should be in every book club and every man or woman's book collection.
Rating: Summary: Breakin' It Down and Keeping It Real Review: This book is one of the best examples of "feminist works" I have seen. This book let's both men and women explore who they are and what keeping it real really means for positive blacks in the year 2G. It is a very easy read and cheap. I would definitely recommend it for any body who is interested in black on black relationships.
Rating: Summary: She BROKE IT DOWN!!! Review: This book was a poor attempt to try to explain the 90's woman. This book left me dry and sleepy. After the first chapter, I had to start reading from the index. The book was worse then it's cover.
Rating: Summary: Not a Sista Souljah! Review: This book was a poor attempt to try to explain the 90's woman. This book left me dry and sleepy. After the first chapter, I had to start reading from the index. The book was worse then it's cover.
Rating: Summary: A Woman's Bible Review: This is a must read for all women. Men should also read this book. It was very insightful. I found myself underling and highlighting all through this book and I bought it for pure entertainment. It's an educational tool to make it through life.
Rating: Summary: She BROKE IT DOWN!!! Review: This was an incredible book. I had to stop several time and call my friends and quote them paragraphs from this book. She said many of the things I had been thinking and she expressed it in a very moving and personal way. I found her chapter on the STRONGBLACKWOMAN especially good because it captured the essence of many a conversation I'd had with my close friends. I would highly reccomend this book.
