Review: I read this book in two days! LL's story was touching and thought provoking and the photographs helped me put his story in perspective. LL has always been a beautiful person in my eyes. From "Radio" to his recent response to Canibus, I have been by his side all the way! Reading about his life made me thirsty for more. At times, I could hear LL's voice as I read his life-story and I often found myself reflecting on where I was when LL was facing the many challenges of his life. From "back in the day", LL has always been a voice over the radio that I love to listen to, a person on the television that I love to look at and a performer at a concert that makes me feel alive with energy! Now, he is more than an image that I can only dream about... He is a friend.

Summary: I CAN'T WAIT TO READ THIS BOOK AGAIN
Review: I READ THIS BOOK IN A DAY AND A HALF. THIS WAS A VERY GOOD BOOK. MY DAUGHTER WHO IS NOW TWELVE WANTED TO READ AND IT. AFTER READING THIS BOOK SHE WANTED TO SEND A DEMO TAPE TO LL. SHE SINGS AND REALLY WOULD LIKE A START. SHE FEELS THE SAME WAY LL DIDN'T GIVE UP SHE WILL DO THE SAME. WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING A DEMO FOR HER NOW AND WILL BE SENDING IT OUT REAL SOON. LL IF YOU ARE READING THIS AND CAN HELP ANY WAY PLEASE RESOND.

Summary: His book helps me to understand where LL is coming from.
Review: LL Cool J is one of my favorite people in this world. I know a LOT of people say that, but to me it's like he is a friend. I watch his show ( and like his says in his book his character is just like him...and you can tell he doesn't seem like his is acting-he is being real). I recently went to one of his concerts...it was the BEST day of my life!!! He touched my hand and he through roses out in the audience and I caught one! I brought a camera with me, I don't think we were supposed to, but I HAD to. They came out so good and we were REAL CLOSE, so you can see him real good!!! Well, I am at the end of the book almost and I just love it . I have read it SO FAST, but now I am trying to take my time. I mean I REALLY love the book, ( I can't put it down), but it is like I don't want to say good-bye! I wish there was something else about him I could read. I never really thought that LL would write a book. I am glad he did though, because he gives people hope, esp! ecially young people, that you can always rise above the bad things going on around or even inside of you. I think that is one of the reasons he wrote the book. See I like LL not because he has a cute face or a nice body, but I can see he is a truly a good person and is really spirtually motivated and he tries to help others become so also or at least know they can.

Review: I Make My Own Rules is an incredible book to read. He opens up his heart to you and reaccounts his childhood on up to the present.He's an Amazing man who gives it to you straight up,not hesitating to tell you how real raelity is.His mind boggaling story leaves you filled with knowlegde and on a whole new level than before.He leaves you with a sense of hope for the future and things later to come.Alexius Willams P.S.Love you LL

Review: Although a bit young to write an autobiography, Mr. Smith's candid, easy style makes for interesting reading. While I'm a bit older than the average L.L. Cool J fan, I enjoyed his journey through and ultimate rise above the trappings of youthful success.

Review: I couldn't Believe what I was reading about L.L's Information On his lifestyle. It was as they say in the slang version "THE BOMB" Which means"THE BEST" I Love you so much Mr. James Todd Smith that I couldn't wait to read your book. The book was fantastic and it was worth every little penny and if i had to spend another $22.00 i would because the book was the best seller in all stores. If you haven't read this book yet you better jump up from what your doing and go bye "I MAKE MY ON RULES" book BY:L.L Cool J because he means business in this book. Summary: It's one of the best books I have ever read.
Review: This book is a must read. I have been a fan of LL Cool J since his first song Radio. I read the book in one day (8 hrs to be exact) I just couldn't put it down. I felt his joy and pain. I just can't believe what his father but most his stepfather did to him. His "Father" song is the best. I love that song. It just makes you think that there are a lot of people out there, but he overcame it all. He wanted to be somebody and be the best that he could. I commend you for being a good great rap artist, a husband and a father. I love you LL Cool J and I hope to one day meet you. It has been one of my dreams and I hope that one day it comes true. Summary: A must read for anyone who's lost hope or direction.
Review: I have always been a fan of LL's since I was young (which is a while ago), but now I'm not only a fan of LL Cool J's, but also of James Todd Smith. 'I Make My Own Rules' showed a side of Mr. Smith, that was truley inspiring. If more people took an evaluation of their lives and realized that some of our actions can be detrimental of our lives and others, then we would be better off. I have nothing but love for the man and father that LL has become. God bless you.
