Review: I really enjoyed I Make My Own Rules by LL Cool J and Karen Hunter. The book was very interesting and caught my attention. The book was easy to follow and while reading the book, I felt like he was talking to me one on one. I recommend this book to teens growing up in a situation beyond their control because this book is proof nothing is too hard to overcome with self-determination

Summary: I Expected More
Review: I expected to read something different about L.L.'s life. I guess things are not always what they seem. I grew up listen to L.L. music and watching my old brother wanting to be just like him. I feel that he is a great rapper, and good actor, and diffently a find brother. I just hope he keeps up the good work, and stay a family man.

Review: Now don't get me wrong, it took a lot of strength to be able to tell the world about your life. But this book shows that LL is an amateur at writing books. All those quotes in parentheses just got so annoying!!!! And plus he kept repeating some of the same stuff over and over. Next time LL, hire a better editor!!!!

Review: LL Cool J really expressed him self well he poured his heart out. This book was theropy for him and that has inspired me to write my book. It took a real man to express himself the way he did. Two thumbs up for ll Cool J and his wife.

Review: This book is inspirational, influencial and entertaining all in one. This book demonstrates the ups and downs of the music business and what exactly the life of an entertainer really consists of. I have been by LL since his album RADIO and have never stopped. He was the best,he is the best and will always be. I own every one of his albums, and I love FUBU gear. Thanx LL for the music and entertainment you have provided for us hip hop fans. Like he quotes in his book: "There are rebels and there are innovators....he is an innovator" He also made me realize that hip hop is not only for african-americans, whites, or natives, but only for the true hip hop fans!!!

Review: positive role model or not lets look at the skills the man posseses he made a great impact to hip hop but he was never the greatest of all time like he claims to be. the book lets you know where he is coming from and that is what i expected from him. let the ladies love him i give him props but let the real hip hop begin!!

Review: LL Cool J pours himself out in this book and lets you get to know him He admits his faults and is very open. He helped me to see that no matter how hard life gets or how tough things seem, you can change your life for the better. Although, I am his number one fan (!), let me tell you that anyone, black or white, male or female, can learn from his story. You don't have to be a huge fan to read it, but let me tell yout this, after reading this book you will be. I love you LL!

Review: I been a fan of LL since "Going back to Cali". LL has been doing his thing for a long time. His book is a must read for any hip hop head. My only question is: LL, why sport a FUBU hat in a GAP commercial? And in your freestyle, you say For Us By Us, the FUBU slogan. Maybe GAP doesn't know it, but I feel you disrespected them. All aside, good book though.

Review: This was a very well written book, because LL didn't hold back on anything. He told everything from before he was born to present day. This book has a nice photo insert in the middle of it. I really enjoyed this book and hope you will also.
