Summary: Finally, a HIP book on pregnancy.
Review: A friend gave me this book at my baby shower. She read one story out loud and then everybody else chimed in with their own "tales from the delivery room." It's a hoot! The other "motherhood" books I got were all pretty sappy, but this one is a lot of fun (although there are a couple of stories that might put a lump in your throat). The celebrity stories are cool, too. It's nice to know that fame and fortune are no hedge against the insanity of labor. Bottom line: fun, entertaining antidote to morning sickness.

Review: as a father of 3 this book was right on the money - there are some incredibly funny, outrageous, and downright amazing anecdotes. Probably would make a great gift for anyone whose gone through the birthing experience

Summary: Laugh Out Loud Funny
Review: I bought this book yesterday and couldn't put it down. People at [a local bookstore] were staring at me and my laughter. What an insightful, comical and original look at one of life's greatest moments - the birth of a child. I am sure fellow parents will be able to relate and relive their own experiences. I wish my wife and I had a chance to read this before our first - it would have been a little better preparation than the breathing exercises!! Obviously, a bigs thumbs up from this reader.

Summary: The ONLY thing that got me to laugh during my pregnancy
Review: I can't possibly say enough wonderful things about this book.
I bought this book when I was about five months pregnant. Needless to say, like most pregnant women- I was moody.
I came across this book and I literally laughed SO hard and SO much that I thought I was going to go into labor. There are stories in here for EVERYONE. I had talked about twelve of my pregnant friends and mommies into buying this book and they all LOVE it. That book went with me into the delivery room and was enjoyed by all. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who has ever given birth or who is pregnant. You will not regret it!!!

Review: I wasn't all that pleased with this book. I read the other reviews and thought that this book was going to be "rolling on the floor" funny. There were some stories in there that I found very funny. However, overall the book is mostly a bunch of birth stories. Some of the stories very boring and long, or the humor was very corny. I consider myself a person with a great sense of humor. I don't withhold laughter. This book was average overall. 10 bucks isn't asking too much. See for yourself.
