Summary: Finally
Review: This book is almost as funny as reading the negative reviews of it. I especially loved the one about how it's a Communist attempt to subvert America. Whew! Let me wipe the tears from my face. That was a good one. Right-wing paranoia would be funnier if it weren't so pathetic. I love all the people who defend Rush by bashing the truth. Oh well, anyone who believed those ridiculous stats in the first place . . . .

Summary: This book shows the sterility of the hard Right!
Review: This book is not a fun read. Don't get me wrong; it is flawlessly written by the editors of Extra! magazine who show the idiocy, Mccarthyism, and dishonesty of America's most-listened-to radio talk show host. They do this by using Limbaugh's biggest enemy: his own words. What is disheartening is that so many people still take the guy seriously.

The book focuses on Limbaugh's most egregious errors. If the authors listed every error the guy made, the resulting book would make War and Peace look pithy. They point out the goofiest things the guy has to say. For instance, Limbaugh calls Al Gore an "environmentalist wacko." As the authors point out, this is from a guy who says that styrofoam is biodegradable and uses toadies of Lyndon Larouche as sources for his anti-environmental diatribes.

I enjoyed this book and also enjoy the authors' updates on Limbaugh in Extra! magazine. A case in point, Limbaugh reprinted a speech given by his late father about the founders. Limbaugh characterized his father was an "original thinker." But as the authors pointed out, this original thinker's speech had been plagiarized from a right-wing tract from the 1950's. It looks as if the apple doesn't fall very far from the tree.

Summary: Another fact-twisting bash at Rush...
Review: ...and through it all, he remains immensely popular, while books like this end up in the bargain bins.

Summary: Thought-provoking expose of the king of the fools
Review: I have read Limbaugh's books and have listened to/watched his radio and TV programs, and I have always been amazed by how he gets away with presenting outright falsehoods as truth. This book beats Rush at his own game by exposing his histrionic lies and calculated misrepresentations of truth. Most interesting is the revelation that Rush's purported "objective experts", whose works he often cites as evidence on subjects like the environment and poverty, are charlatans that are treated like marginalized pariahs by their colleagues. For discerning readers of both liberal and conservative persuasions, this book provides a rational and objective analysis of a hothead manqué who has besmirched both the public discourse and the conservative agenda with his prurient smorgasbord of effluvial, emotionally-charged lies.

Summary: Arrogant, idiotic, just plain stupid
Review: Wow, some stupid, arrogant, one sided, biased twit wants to discredit a republican truth finder by publishing a book of 100 comments?? 100? HA! Truly idiotic. I guess the authors can't accept truth for truth. Liberal buttheads. More than 94 of those things can be disproven, usually because they twisted his words around. The rest were simple mistakes, ones that every radio talk show host makes, on the part of Rush.

Review: Al Franken is a Big Fat Idiot

Summary: Only 100 statements?
Review: You expect us to think that Rush has had a reign of error by telling us only 100 statements that may have been false? Rush says at least 1,000 statements everyday over the radio.

Summary: Communist attempt to undermine Limbaugh....
Review: Reading this book and you would not think the authors are even Americans. It sounds as if they are working for the Chinese to bring in socialism and left-wing radicalism. Another victim of our socialist education system.

Summary: More of a Dittohead Aggravator then a Deprogrammer
Review: Could it be that the master of deceit has been caught with his pants down? Now there's a disturbing thought! After reading this book and then reading some of the pro-Rush reviews, I am convinced that this book has come very close to the mark. Limbaugh is a cult leader -- a very charismatic and energized leader -- that attracts those who are dissatisfied with their lives or their surroundings and are looking for someone to blame. Rush is on 3 unchallenged hours a day spoon feeding his followers with information that is often misrepresented or is outright false. Limbaugh has been asked on numerous opportunities to debate in public, but he chooses his own forum where dissension can be controlled with an iron fist. If Limbaugh and his sheep were interested in truth, a full account for all of Rush's misrepresentations and falsehoods documented in this book would be forthcoming. It is not. And Rush's most faithful followers defend his refusal to deliver such an account. Is it any wonder Limbaugh should be considered a cult leader, whose followers eat his every word as if it is gospel truth? To the true die-hard Dittohead, this book will do more to aggravate one's conscience and cause one to lash out then it will to deprogram. Deprogramming can only be achieved by removing the programmed from the constant bombardment of propaganda and forcing the individual to experience the real world, absent any filters or interpretations.

Summary: A convincing book for anyone with an open mind.
Review: The book exposes Rush for the...he is, with numerous examples (the authors could have put more if they wanted). Most of the critical reviews I have read completely miss the point. Rush is an insider in Republican politics and an important enough personality for Alan Greenspan to call for supporting the Mexican bailout. It is disingenuous for his defenders to compare him with Howard Stern or Don Imus who are legitimate entertainers, whatever one may think about their style. Incidentally, Rush lied about that conservation when asked about it by Robert Novak, a staunchly conservative journalist; the authors don't even mention that lie. Rush's defenders try to change the subject in their reviews,i.e., why don't the authors talk about Bill Clinton's lies? The reason is simple: there are many other books from conservative sources that talk about Clinton in very negative terms; there is no need for this particular book to discuss Clinton. Also, FAIR has produced several books, and they do not shy away from criticizing the Clintons, Michael Kinsley, or any other liberal who has made ridiculous claims. So, dittoheads, lighten up! It's just entertainment after all, right?
