Summary: 4.5 actually
Review: This is straight up metal that's rapped over. No guest rappers, no singing (not any good singing anyways), just music to mosh by. "Faith" may be their breakthrough hit, but it's "Counterfeit" that really deserved the hype. Listen to the lyrics carefully, it's about a poseur who tries to act 'down'. Fred Durst is wailing at him like, get your own culture. Now that Limp Bizkit is a household name, guess what everyone has dubbed Fred Durst as? Yes, he may be his own worst enemy, but this isn't MTV, this is about music not image. Now that it is about image, they get flak, maybe unfairly too. Songs like "Stuck", "Nobody Loves Me" and "Stalemate" show a very hungry band that can rock better than most, and they do it with ease as well. "Leech" shows a band attempting thrash, they do it nicely too. In the end, the hunger in the band proves why they are were they are now. Their songs may be slower now, and all over (ugh) MTV, but it shows why their aggro women bashing (not that that's a good thing) rap/metal make them the most copied band in America. Nevermind what I just said, it's Anthrax and Rage Against The Machine everybody is ripping off, then they turn it politically incorrect. Still, this is a strong debut by a band that is everywhere, they may never be legends like Nirvana or Nine Inch Nails, but at least it's fun, and in the end that's what matters.

Summary: this is great
Review: this is a really good CD, that Rage and Korn fans should at least try. Signifigant other has like maybe 4 good songs, so leave it alone. But this CD is sooo much better.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: SOOOO much better than Significant Other
Review: Even though I cant say I'm a big fan of Limp Bizkit anymore, I can still listen to this cd and remember how good they used to be. The energy that they create on the tracks on this album is almost unmatchable, and its obvious how they were able to cause riots in the early days during shows. Now, they're just another MTV servant, and I dont think we're ever gonna hear another Limp Bizkit album like this one. They had the right idea, but then they went and changed producers and got less intense and more radio friendly. Bad choice, cause when it all comes crumbling down, they wont have anyone left to go to since they've forsaked their true fans.

Summary: A time-based trend by a bunch of sell-outs!
Review: Why did I ever buy this? I don't know, but I know why I kept it. I did not know of return policies. This is not any thing but a bunch of freaks trying to get rich quick, unable to sing, rapping in a high pitched whiny voice, not melody at all, and absolute torture listening to the last track. It is nothing more then 17 minutes of rhythmless drumming, guitar fuzz and scratching on a turn table. The music is all chewed up, the bass guitar seems to be missing a few strings, and the lead guitarist only knows a few cords and can't even do a solo. And even though I am not a fan of actual rap, I have heard songs like Tupac's "Keep Ya' Head Up", "Changes", and "Life Goes On", and they hold more melody then all the Limp Bizkit songs rammed together. This is odd since LB uses real instruments and actual rap uses electronics and song samples. This one fact proves LB is truly untalented. And with all the negative comments about "Significant Other", you can tell that this truly is a fading fad by some freaks out to make money. Take my word, if you don't like rap or distortion, leave this on the shelf and get something else.

Summary: This band WAS such a good band
Review: But sadly, Significant Other came out. But Three Dollar Bill Yall$ is completely different. It is so amazing. Yet, I regret liking Limp now, I must admit that this WAS my favorite album. Fred Durst knew how to write good lyrics, and Wes Borland knew how to stir up some awesome riffs. Just look at the song ''Counterfeit''. It is so dope! It has an excellent beggining, phat rhymes, shredding guitar riffs, and an oll-out amazing song! Another good song is ''Stuck''. It basically has a funky-sounding verse, and then an insane chourus! The very best song on this album is ''Sour''. It may not be as heavy as the other songs, but it has a great rythm, and a blast to listen to. The songs on this album range from the frat-party jump-around song ''Faith'',to a very strange, and haunting finale ''Everything''. I believe that this is Limps' only good album. Significant Other just was an total accident to the band. But this album will live on to be a great, fun-filled party album. That nobody should be without!

Summary: It's awsome
Review: This cd is great! Whenever I wana just break somthing I listen to this CD. It is so much better than Significant Other. It's not so much rap but more metal. If you wana buy a Limp Bizkit CD get this one.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: NO! NO! NO! NO!
Review: With the blaring of guitars and the blurting out of strange lyrics Limp Bizkit has toaly messed of the way I look at music. Is it Metal? Rap? Both? I must admit that "Sour" is a good song but when I listend to the rest I wasn't imprested. Yo Yo I raped. I didn't mean to do that, Anyway I'm not a really big fan of this new "Hip hop meets Metal" fab thats why a gave it three stars. I gave it three for the way they use Metal and I took two away for the way they used hip hop(rap, whatever) I was nice when I reviewd this.
