Summary: The Better Bizkit
Review: This CD was before the release of the sell-out "Significant Other" with about 3 or 4 good songs on it. But I liked this stuff a lot better. I just got it recently and man, it's nothin like their second. "Pollution", "Counterfiet", "Stuck", and "Sour" are all tyt tracks right down to the famous "Faith" that was one of my favorites. And now with the release of "Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavored water", Limp Bizkit is gonna come back with the good stuff they had on this album.

Summary: A new sound for The world !
Review: This CD is one of the best rock CD s of all time.It starts with an Intro that is quite different to the one on LB's Significant Other CD.The second track is a real hard and heavy track called Pollution which is one of the best songs on the CD.Then track 3 the first song that LB released and they paid for it to go on the radio,is the best track on the CD.Track 4 is another real heavy track.Tracks 5,6,7 and 8 are really good too but track 7 is quite mellow in some ways. Then comes the song that made LB famous...........the one and only Faith. This is an awesome song. It's better than Geogre Micheal's version. Then the rest of the CD is pretty heavy and phat. It's a real good buy.If you're a Bizkit fan and you don't have this there is something wrong with your head.Go out and get.I recommend this to any hard rock fan.

Summary: LIMP BIZKIT!
Review: This is one of the hottest heavy metal and rap CD on the planet! My favorites are Counterfeit,Pollution,Stuck,Sour,Leech and Clunk. I loved this CD so much, I bought it twice! This is a true rock and rap classic! This album deserves alot of credit. Because I think that Limp Bizkit put a lot of work and creativity into this album. So far, I think that this is Limp Bizkit's best album! Best album of 1997! This CD is awsome! Buy it if you like rock and rap! You'll be satisfied!

Summary: A first-rate band with a thrid-rate debut
Review: This is the album that got the ball rolling for Limp Bizkit, and after taking an honest listen to it, it's tough to understand why. Sure, it's loud and it's fast, and it has some memorable moments, but overall it's a sloppy, tuneless mess. No wonder it was their amusingly psycho cover of "Faith" that won them fame -- just about everything else here screams of potential not being met, and so the boys just pound the crap out of their instruments, hoping that all the noise and energy will cover all the potholes on this VERY bumpy ride. No dice. Part of the problem is the production, which is quite simply terrible: there's no clarity to any of the instruments, and everything sounds muffled, like they recorded it in a garage with the door closed. It's hard to believe that a producer as genius as the great Ross Robinson could hash out such a colorless sound. Adding insult to injury, the mixing of the album is even worse -- particularly on John Otto's drums, which sound like he's beating cheap trash cans. In short, this CD sounds like a demo, and doesn't give Limp Bizkit the cutting-edge sound they need to get their material across. The sound of the album wouldn't be a problem if the songs were up to snuff, but they aren't. Most of the tracks sound the same, and singer Fred Durst usually resorts to annoying screaming when he runs out of good lyrics, which is often. Other than "Stuck", which joins a good rap by Durst with a lethal thrash chorus, and "Pollution", a catchy punk-type song that gets better as it goes, most of Three Dollar Bill doesn't cut it. They also borrow from many bands without shame ("Counterfeit", in particular, sounds like cheap Korn). But all these flaws can be attributed to the fact that it was this young band's first album, and they clearly got better with their next album, Significant Other, and the upcoming Chocolate Starfish & The Hot Dog Flavored Water, probably their best work to date. If you want the Limp Bizkit heard on these two albums, you'd be best advised to avoid Three Dollar Bill, which even the band says is by far their weakest moment. But if you don't mind running your hands through all the crap to find a few diamonds, then by all means give this one a shot. But at least buy it used. It simply isn't worth the full price.

Summary: If you like actual music, buy this
Review: Just like the title. This isn't like Significant Other. Oh no, it's MUCH better. This is before Limp Bizkit sold out. This is real music. Some of the songs on here are downright insane like Stuck, my personal favorite song. I also like Stalemate too even though the song seems kind of like two different songs with the same lyrics. DJ Lethal actually does scratches like the unbelieveable ones in Indigo Flow, you can actually hear Sam Rivers playing bass and it sounds great.(I happen to enjoy the song Clunk for his bass work) Wes Borland's guitar is great, John Otto's drums are....well, if you like a lot of symbals, you'll like it but I really didn't even though it did keep the beat together and I did like the first minute or so of Stalemate for his drumming. Some of the songs are also very funny, like the end of Pollution where Fred just keeps wanting to bring that beat back and the other guy tells him to shut up! Also, it has the singles Counterfeit and Sour which aren't the greatest, Nobody Loves Me, the LB remix of George Michael's Faith, Stink Finger, and the weird but cool Leech demo version. Aside from the stupid Intro and the last song Everything, a 16:26 instruemntal with no guitar chords, this CD is perfect. Buy it now.
