Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Aimed at academics, not ordinary readers
Review: If you are looking for an moderately easy read to explain the changing behaviour of consumers in our post-modern society, you need to look elsewhere. This book is obviously aimed at academics and dedicates endless pages to highly theoretical babbling. I found it extremely difficult to extract anything that has practical application.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Just because you're not an academic doesn't mean your dumb!
Review: Well written. Written by an academic but not necessarily only for academics. Worth the effort.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: The forgotten art of reading...
Review: Well, so far I only read the sixth chapter for a college work I'm doing... but it's pretty easy and simple to understand. Since when is it bad to be academic anyway? Alas, maybe they should write a book called Consumer Culture For Dummies.
P.S. Ignore the rating... like I said, I haven't read the entire thing (which is sort of ironic, given the name I chose for this "review").
