Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: What an Extraordinary Book-very timely, and uplifting Review: This was such an uplifting book to read. We hear so many negative comments and stories about teaching. What a refreshing change to read a book that glorifies teachers and teaching, and makes one sit and think back on the good and bad teachers in our own lives. It's such an easy book to read, and it is broken down into short segments, so you don't need to devote large amounts of time to it. Each essay takes about 10 minutes or so to read. I sat down thinking I'd read a few minutes here and there, and ended up reading half the book in one sitting. I am not a teacher, but a parent. I not only plan to give this book to teachers who have made a difference in my daughter's life, but also to teachers who made a difference in my own life. I know that tracking some of them down will be a challenge, but they need to know how appreciated they are. This book will help convey their importance. A must read for anyone concerned with education in our country-parents, teachers, future teachers, ect.....
