Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: This was complete garbage. Review: This book was the worst thing I have ever read in my life. Ashanti is a horrible singer to begin with and now I find out how terrible of a writer she is. As a poet myself, I was deeply upset by this book's contents. Ashanti needs to promise the world that she will never dabble in writing again.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: throw this in the trash Review: this is a terrible, terrible book. it's so bad that it's funny and i bought it to laugh at. ashanti is an ok singer but a TERRIBLE writer. go waste your money on something else, like a dog house made of pinecones than this load of crap.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Negativity Review: This young girl is doing so good for her self and why you guys want to hate on her. What you mad that she has something good going for herself and what you doing collecting county checks. She has accomplish her dreams. she must be something good for you to spend money on her. Remember she is the one on TV and magazines making good honest money and what you doing reading her book and hating. Don't be mad because she got it going on.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: WOW Review: WOW this book is beter than I expected. I knew that Ashanti could write, but I didn't know that she had SKILLS. I am not the lovey-dovey type but this book proved me wrong. It talks about love and life and gives you a better perspective of who Ashanti is. This is one of those books that needs to be on tour shelf.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Ashanti Douglas: a New Voice for Our Embattled Generation. Review: Wow, did I sure underestimate Ashanti. I didn't think there was much to her besides a pretty face, a stylish wardrobe, and flashy videos. But there's so much more to her than that. "Foolish/Unfoolish" is a collection of some hard-hitting messages concerning the ups and downs in relationships. The words literally leap off these pages and jump right in your face. This sista gives it to you raw! You can feel the unfiltered emotion when she gives you original lines like: "11:30 has come and gone/and still no call from you/Why did you have me waiting here/if you weren't coming through" from the piece "No Excuses." Man, that's sooooo deep! In "Watch Me Glisten," we get a feel for Ashanti's verbal flow when she drops potent lines like "He always told me/I looked cute in my shorts/He would watch how I walked/and he would speak out his thoughts." Original and thoughtful, "Foolish/Unfoolish" is strong enough to dethrone Toni Morrison, Zora Neale Hurston and Alice Walker as reigning queens of Black literature. They should check out this book to see how it's DONE. Once again, Ashanti remains peerless as the standard-bearer of not only music but also poetry and prose. Can a Nobel Prize be far behind?
