Rating: Summary: Helped Me Out A Lot Review: As a "rampantly homosexual" man, this book certainly helped me hone my Gaydar into an intricate tracking device. No longer is it a jungle out there in the sea of humanity! This book really helped me see and understand my internal Gaydar ability much better. I've met many new men as a result, and am much happier with my homosexual self.

Rating: Summary: Either You've Got It or You Don't! Review: Either you've got it or you don't, or if your "Gaydar" has become a little rusty this hilarious book will help you to fine-tune or polish your sense of who isn't gay and who is. What does it matter if this book is based on stereotypes or is not politically correct, it's a good way to spend a few hours of light reading, and be entertained at the same time. The author was even nice enough to give us a "Warning" at the beginning of the book, so the reader can proceed at his own risk, and not have any misconceptions. This book is beautifully illustrated throughout by Reuter with appropriate drawings for each section. It is divided into ten sections that include; gaywear, gaybody, gayness, gayspeak, and much more. Whether you are new on the scene or have been around for quite sometime, this book will more than likely have something new to teach you. Your "Gaydar" will always be in tip-top shape if you heed the advice Reuter has to offer in this colorful & funny gem of a book. It is worth a look, that's for sure! Joe Hanssen

Rating: Summary: Stereotypes On Parade Review: I bought this book as a Christmas gift for a friend. I'm glad I looked at it before wrapping it. Not even humorous enough for me to donate to a used book store. Save your money!
Rating: Summary: Awesome Book!! Review: I thoroughly enjoyed reading this hillarious book! As a gay man, I could see a lot of myself and my friends in the descriptions and great illustrations. Gaydar was superbly written... funny as hell, with the greatest respect to gay individuals.
Rating: Summary: A book even better than it appears Review: I was given "Gaydar" as a gift for Christmas. When I first saw it, I thought the book, with its eye-catching purple cover, would be a good coffee table book. Then, when I looked through the contents, I was alternately amused and offended by its contents. Like some of the other reviewers, I was a bit put off by the author's use of dated and blatant gay stereotypes. However, after reading the book in its entirety and upon closer inspection, three things ocurred to me: 1) the use of sterotypes was clearly intentional, 2) the use of these stereotypes by both older and younger generation gay men, as well as by heterosexuals, is still very much in practice as part of their own "gaydar" and , most importantly, 3) the author's point of view was that while both gays and the sraight mainstream have come a long way culturally, they still have a long way to go. Ultimately, the book had more than an eye-catching cover. Its a satirical and very funny book that I have since bought for some friends who have felt similarly.
Rating: Summary: Laughed until I cried Review: Oh my gawd! I literally stained the pages with tears of hysterical laughter. I leave it out for people to see, and I've found that many males that swear they have no "traits" must hang their heads in admission that they love craft stores and movie musicals.

Rating: Summary: Great Christmas Present Review: This book is funny and beautifully illustrated. But it's not just another flip look at gay life. Rather it's a nuanced and thoughtful examination of what makes "us" tick. It's great birthday or holiday gift for someone special or someone difficult to buy for.
