Summary: A good book about nothing yet very intriguing!
Review: I read this book and it may be a book about nothing (in some people's opinions) but it is very insightful to their personal lives at one time. Ben and Janeane prove that it is okay to be open with your feelings and that they learned that the hard way. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys comedy, excitement and sadness in a book.

Summary: "Feel This Book" is very insightful and humourous.
Review: Janeane Garofalo and Ben Stiller share a blend of humor that is intelligent. You will get a better view of yourself and the authors after reading this book, or even a few chapters. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Well, actually I did, but I just wanted to say that. In this book you will learn the differences between Tupac and Deepak, being nice isn't important, Ben and Janeane had a thing, and when a problem comes along you must whip it. Oh, I mean you must blame it on your family. Sorry. Overall, I thought this book was great and went the whole 9 in giving good advice. Read it.

Summary: a good book, but not for evryone
Review: to be perfectly honest, "feel this book" was not the funniest book I've ever read, but it does have it's moments. It's almost woth the price of admission for the Faster-mations (TM), and Garafalo's chapter on how to present one's self on a date. The only people who should consider 'feeling' the book are hardcore Gafarlo fans, as well as anyone who still misses the Ben Stiller show

Summary: At least they got$$$ for this book!
Review: I love Stiller and Garofalo but this book was not what I expected. I chuckled a few times in the 2 hours it took me to whiz through this half-a$$ attempt at a book. Reading this will cause you to lose a great deal of respect for these two.

Summary: Ultimate comedy - the book about nothing.
Review: Talk about a goofball narrative. If you don't "get" this book or can't understand why people think it's funny, then you clearly don't understand satire - and satire requires that the reader have a brain, so you do the math.

My favorite chapter was the one linking Deepak and Tupak - it made absolutely no sense and had me rolling with laughter. The great thing about the book, was that there is absolutely no message and no substance....just a parody. So, don't take "Feel This Book" seriously...but buy it and remember, as stated in the introduction, "No Lending."

Summary: Feel this SLOP
Review: I truly expected something funny from two of Hollywoods most talented character actors. The premise of a parody on self-help books seemed a fresh topic for these talented folks. What ensues is just un-funny. It was bizzare because Ben Stiller's sections were actually very close to being REAL self-help material, while Garafalo just comes off as being a whiney "witch".

Summary: NOT FUNNY AT ALL!!!!
Review: I like Stiller and Garofalo, but this book is annoying. Garofalo in particular has to stick to being funny instead if thinking she's the authority on what IS funny. Boring, show-offish, whiny, and not funny. A failure. Their comedy doesn't translate to print as well as the brilliant Charles Goonan. This book is the right step in the wrong direction.

Summary: Not Funny-!!!!!!!
Review: Very disappointing, I expected to laugh alot, instead I kept wishing for it to be over with because it was sooooo boring. . It was like listening to someone you barely know whine about their relationship. They are talented entertainers but that talent was omitted from this book. I listened to the audio version thinking that in their own words it would be even funnier, but no chance there.

Summary: This is a non-book
Review: It reads like the compiled transcripts from comedy show conferences. Shallow,show-off, painfully au courant. Though it purports to be a parody of self-help,it's more "Hey ma, look at mequipping." Relentless smartass repartee.

Summary: What's The Deal With David Cross?
Review: I liked the book, but did it have to contain so many references to "brilliant, much too overlooked" comedian David Cross? To wit:

1) Chapter 4 is entitled "Why David Cross makes us laugh-fall-down!"

2) Chapter 7 is entitled "See Chapter 4."

2) The "Acknowledgments" page acknowledges only David Cross... 146 times.

3) The "audiotape version" of this book is actually a bootleg version of David Cross' 1966 farewell concert at Bill Graham's Laffapalooza.

4) Charles Joffe's "David Cross is the only worthy successor to Swift..." encomium appears as a three-dimensional pop-up centerpiece.

5) Michael Fuchs's notorious "Is this guy too angry to be on at 4 A.M. every other Wednesday?" memo is reprinted in its entirety.

6) Several oblique references to "the late Bob Odenkirk" sprinkled throughout "wacky index."

7) If you ruffle the top corner pages with your thumb, you can see a cartoon of an extremely bitter man doing underappreciated comedy.

8) David's guest appearances on "Veronica's Closet" and "Suddenly Susan" are cited as sterling examples of his lifelong strive for comedic excellence.

What gives?
