Summary: Worst book ever written!
Review: This book caused me to lose all respect for Garofalo and Stiller. No effort was put into the book and it shows. Just a waste of printing time. The concept is good, but they have so much more talent than is evident here. It's not funny, it's not close to funny, it's bitter. This is obviously a money maker for the writers, but written by ghost people with the comedian's input. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

So you know, I give a comedy book credit where it is due. Funny books of this genre are Steve Martin's Pure Drivel, Chris Rock's book (Toss the Salad?), even the Wayan's Bootleg book had some laughs.

Feel this Book is a waste; totally unreadable. I am being generous giving it 1 star (Amazon doesn't give you a 0 star option!)

Summary: It was swell!:)
Review: ha-ha-ha! After reading the melancholic autobiography of Geri Halliwell (former Spice Girl) called 'If Only', what a better way to get giggles from reading Ben and Janeanes fab book! I have one word for you guys: SWELL!! Yup, I'll be the first to ressurect that forgoten word. I hope that Janeane will write an autobiography!:) It was GRRRRRRREAT! Janeane droned on and on about her significance to everyone, an d her importance to the world. While Ben just killed time by talking about his life experiences and had some clever Martha Stewart type projects as well! I bet it was a cathartic experience for them to write that book.:)Yes, sir-ee, bob....

Summary: These two are really FUNNY!
Review: I like them both, separately, so when the book came out, I couldn't imagine what I was in for. Garafalo's sarcasm and references are hilarious, and she's as witty as it gets. Stiller is funny, but in such a different way. I find there viewpoints of their once "love" affair to be the best part of the book. I had to keep reminding myself..its humor, not a true self-help, as there were times I wanted to take their advice to heart and use it in my own life (then again, maybe some of it was GOOD advice???). Good thing that affair ended, huh? Glad to see that friendships can be more powerful than affairs. In any case, I find Stiller attractive physically and creatively, and Garafalo is a true talent! Cudos! The book is a winner!

Summary: I hate to say it
Review: I really love these guys, and I want to support them, but this is a horrible book. I might return the book and just write these guys a check because I feel so bad. They're fantastic on screen, but just don't translate as well to the printed medium.

Summary: GAROFALO IS GOD, NEED I SAY MORE?
Review: Janeane is queen and Stiller is, well, I can't think of anything to rhyme with Stiller. But he's great, too. I have been a fan of JG's since I was a cynical, jaded adolescent and she captured my thoughts about society so well. JG is a talent that has yet to be fully recognized by the media, but I'm afraid her work, especially THIS book, is just too "right on the money" and thought-provoking for the American media to really understand its depth and importance. Stiller is, of course, another master of comedy and parody. I always enjoy his humor, although at times I feel guilty laughing at things I shouldn't really think are funny.... All in all, JG and Stiller struck a chord in me with this book and really went to town. It's a brilliant work of writing and anyone who doesn't "get" Garofalo's paradoxical and satirical quips and rants.....well, I just feel sorry for them.

Summary: Stiller shines, Garofalo's neurotic?
Review: Okay, I just had to read it. Ended up not putting it down thewhole day (and night) and finished it within a day. However, i did endup finding myself wanting to skip the Garofalo chapters. Maybe it's just me, but i just prefered Stiller's more relaxed, laid back writing to Garofalo's slightly more neurotic nature of writing (or maybe it reminded me of myself) Pretty "empowering" i guess? Who will forget the important lessons learnt, and the meditations we should do through the days?? (in the loo and everything) But in the end, it was just great. Good easy to read humour (neurotic and harassed)

Summary: Most people just dont get it!
Review: This book is really good, when you remember to remember that everything in it is completely fictional. Even the idea that they were once a "item" was only done for the books promo purposes. Most people while readiong this book take it too seriously, when its actually a parody.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: A major letdown
Review: I'm shocked these two apparent one-time lovers couldn't create any more literary or comedic sparks than this major letdown.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: this book rocks!
Review: no two people can write a book like these two. their humor is refreshing, as well as their tell-it-like-it-is attitudes. i love janeane's writing style and it proves her intellegence...who else can construct a sentence w/ so much sarcasm and humor!
