Summary: Outrageously funny!!! Waiting for the Sequel!
Review: At first I was skeptical of Tom Arnold as an author, but after a few recommendations of "How I Lost 5 Pounds in 6 Years" my thoughts have changed.
Tom Arnold's writing technique is wonderful and complements his humor and honesty. I found myself laughing hysterically and moved to tears with a turn of the page.
I am glad I bought this book, not only do I have a ton of respect for this talented man, I also have a new understanding.

Summary: How I Lost 5 Pounds in 6 Years
Review: For some reason, I've alway's found Tom Arnold funny. They guy has taken alot of good hits and stays on his feet. With this book he really takes you into his head. He writes it as a letter to his unborn child. It's something all men have thought about doing. It's amazing with all the hatred that His Ex has shown that he doesn't take the opportunity to retaliate, but he honestly talks about his time with Roseanne and thanks her to a certain extent. I like his honesty and would gladly buy anything he writes. He takes us on the roller coaster that's been his life. And I can honestly say that I laughed out loud on more than one occasion while reading it.

Summary: laugh-out-loud funny
Review: I can't remember a book, before this one, making me laugh out loud. Over and over.

Go in with an open mind, a love of the absurd and outlandish, and enjoy the ride. I was sorry when it ended.

Summary: I thought it was great and laughed out loud many times
Review: I do agree with the previous reviewer that the book jumped all over the place - but you get the feeling that Tom is like that in real life. He probably jumps from topic to topic in conversation! I also wished he had put photos of Roseanne and his second wife instead of so many similar photos of his current wife. There are many touching moments as well as laught out loud moments. His insight into relationships was very knowledgeable and he has good advice. He seems like a person who would make a good friend and people are lucky to have him in their life!

Summary: Disappointing
Review: I found this book absolutely wonderful. Smartly funny and also heart-tuggingly sensitive. Tom's quick wit is only to be matched by his willingness to give the reader a rare look into one of Hollywood's truly good guys heart. He lays it all out for his "child" yet to be born... the good, the bad and the hilarious. I highly recomend this book to anyone who loves to laugh and cry all in the same night. Well written and easy to identify with. I hope Tom's family and friends appreciate how lucky they are to have this special man in thier lives- the giving and the sharing of his time, money and support alone shows how much Tom cares for not only those who are close to him but also those in need. Bravo Mr. Arnold. You deserve all the best in life and I thank you for the experience of sharing in your life through your words. Your unborn child has a great daddy!!
