Rating: Summary: It;s more like Fall of the House of Usher.... Review: This was the strangest soap opera ever, they did so many strange stories where many leading characters either died or vanished under mysterious conditions never to be seen again. The tagline, was "we live in a thosand other worlds", well this was one world that you would not like to visit much less live in, and so many mourn it's cancellation, "GET A LIFE".
Rating: Summary: A Must for AW fans Review: Anyone who watched this soap will enjoy this book. Since this soap was taken from us on the 35th anniversary, this book has even more meaning. You will get to relive the highlights and story lines now missing from our daily lives. I get mine out about every 6 months - or whenever I need a Bay City fix. Looking through the book always manages to bring tears or laughter to me.
Rating: Summary: A Must Have for any Soap Addict Review: For the first 10 years of watching AW, I was a loyal, but hardly passionate fan. The last 5 years, leading up to the cancellation, I developed a passionate attachment. This book has made dealing with the loss of this 15 year old friend so much easier. I treasure this book in so many ways. If you are or were a fan, this really is a must have. No doubt.
Rating: Summary: Out of this "World!" Review: Although not intended as an eulogy, this work serves admirably in that light. Buy it to remember the series whose cancellation--when the definitive history of daytime television is written--will be remembered as the death knell of the American soap opera.
Rating: Summary: How timely! Review: As Another World draws to a close after 35 memorable years, it is a real treat to have this book to remember this revolutionary show. The book is a stroll down memory lane for this 20 year viewer. The only thing missing for me is the backstage story, which was just as fascinating as the stories unfolding on the air. I will always remember my friends in Bay City whenever I read this book. Farewell, Another World, we will remember you always!!
