Summary: Thanks, Ms. Poll for a deserving tribute
Review: I just purchased the book and like many cannot wait to receive it. Thanks to Julie for taking the time to give Another World's biggest fans such a tribute to this show's rich history in both words and pictures along with accounts of some of its stars and crew and their most poignant moments. It is also very sad that NBC has made the decision to cancel this show. I am 33 years old and can remember AW since I was a tot. I remember the spin-off's such as Somerset and Texas and all of the wonderful characters that came into our lives. Some of whom are long gone and others who are still a part of the show. My sincerest thanks to all of whom have been a part of this show from the producers, writers, technical staff, wardrobe, make-up, and hairstylists, to the actors who have brought characters to life that viewers have loved and loved to loathe. To the decision makers at NBC, you all just do not get it, however you will. Most daytime viewers stuck with NBC because of Another World despite what your ratings indicate. Passions will not receive any of my time and with the pathetic direction that Days of Our Lives continues to take, I assure you it will not be hard to remove it from my life. Review: I have been watching ANOTHER WORLD for over 10 years. I started watching when Anne Heche played Vicky/Marley. When she left I watched sporatically but in the last 2 years I have become hooked again. When I heard that NBC had cancelled it I was devastated. AW is such a wonderful show with incredible actors and great storylines. The fact that NBC would cancel AW when there was another soap on NBC with lower ratings makes me furious. Don't the fans count? Don't ratings count? I will never ever watch NBC again and I hope all AW fans do the same. There are several programs on NBC that I used to watch but they may as well cancel them too because I can not look at the NBC logo without feeling angry and betrayed. Good-bye NBC. FANS OF ANOTHER WORLD PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP. HOPEFULLY ANOTHER NETWORK WILL DECIDE TO AIR ANOTHER WORLD. WRITE CBS OR ABC. LET'S SAVE AW. IT'S THE BEST SHOW ON TV AND IT DESERVES 35 MORE YEARS ON TELEVISION

Summary: ANOTHER WORLD BOOK WILL TAKE THE PLACE OF NBC DAYTIME
Review: I am so exited that this book is out. Since NBC saw fit to take the best daytime show off the air I will be taking NBC off daytime. Instead I will have this book to remember the 35 years of excellence in the area of daytime soaps. Now I will not turn on my TV to NBC, I will instead read this book and remember why NBC lost one more viewer. Thanks so much for this book of memories. From eighth grade to grandmotherhood AW has been my escape for an hour a day. With this book it still will be. Summary: PUBLICITY LETTER WRITING CAMPAIGN
Review: I am truly incensed that NBC has underhandedly(it seems) and precipitously made the decision to the Another World. I was under the impression that the decision would not be made until the end of April and since I've been busy, had planned to get my letters out to NBC this week. I also cannot believe that some fans have been hung up on by NBC after uttering the words "Another World". I don't plan on watching Days of Our Lives anymore since I realized I hated all the characters and the plots. It goes without saying that I won't watch Passions, the new "Reilly scholock-fest" (a term coined by some AW fan as quoted somewhere on this site. I DO HAVE AN IDEA THAT WILL DRIVE HOME TO NBC how disappointed and disgusted we are about its decision. While others have warned loyal fans off from continuing to pester NBC, (And it does seem like we've been quite an inconvienent nuisance to "poor" NBC!) I suggest you go to your local greeting card outlet and purchase a condolence or sympathy card.(It's not for the actors or cast!) Preferably choose one with "sorry for you loss" on it. Send it to NBC with the added message "I am so sorry for your loss of yet one more loyal NBC daytime viewer. I haven't the least amount of interest in Passions nor will I watch any of your daytime line up." Send these cards both to NBC and to your local affiliate. If enough of us send these condolence cards, we will get some kind of publicity in the soap mags and we need to bring attention to the fact that AW has a wider fan base than NBC thought. And of course continue writing your letters trying to shop AW around to other networks. Even write those letters like a sales pitch for a brand new loyal viewer. Review: I just picked the book up last night, special order! First impression-priceless gift to loyal fans!!! Just the comprehensive history alone makes it invaluable to people like me who have watched from day one! So sad to see the show go, but what a lovely, lasting tribute to a very special show! It would be neat to see some of the show's relationships transfer intact to another show somehow- like Cass and Felicia, Jake and Vicki especially...a small way to help preserve the serials rich history...thank you Ms. Poll for your lovely gift to AW fans!

Review: I heard about it. NBC will cancel ANOTHER WORLD to make room for the new NBC soap Passions. I know in its past that AW has low ratings ,but I do hope they are making the right decision to cancel the nbc soap AW.I have laughed , cried with this soap and I'm sure I will never forget. Thank goodness Julie Poll has made this book for all of the Another World fans and I know she made books for the other Procter and Gamble soaps such ATWT and GL.I will love and not forget you guys at Another World!Like Lisa Peluso,Jensen Buchannin,Tom Eplin,Ellen Wheeler,Linda Dano,Matt Crane,Alice Barret,Kim Rhodes,Mark Pinter,Stephen Scharinazr,Charles Keaton,Anna Holbrek,I forgot her real name but her character is Donna,Amanda Cory,Josie,Gary,Jason,and the past people,and the longest castmember to stay with the show since 1972,Victoria Wydaham!

Review: I am really sad with soon to be dumping soap opera ANOTHER WORLD.I loved the soap opera, for 23 years and soon to be gone. Though it is only a show , I really feel like crying. So never to forget Another World , this book what I'll have , is a book I will love , honor and cherish.

Review: I am saddened at NBC's decision to dump Another World. I guess it only shows that things can't stay the same. I thought it was the best soap on the air. We'll continue, but as for me, it will be without "Passion."

Summary: Please, Please don't cancel Another World!
Review: Please don't cancel Another World. I've watched faithfully from the time I was old enough to watch television. This show holds some very dear memories for me. You see, my mother wasn't around much when I was growing up so I spent much of my time with my grandmother. It was a daily tradition to take a one hour break during the day and sit down with her to watch our favorite soap. She knew that I always thought my mom looked like Rachel on the show, so we would pretend that this was why she was too busy to be there - she was on the show. Just a little something to make me feel closer to my mom. And now that my grandma is no longer with us, I treasure memories like these that hold my heart so fondly of this show. I have grown up with these people and this show, and it saddened me deeply to know that come June 25th, I will know longer have that daily ritual of looking forward to that one hour. Don't get me wrong, I know it is only a show , and I'm not some crazed fan that is disillusioned about the show or the great actors and actresses on the show. I am just a mother of two who really enjoys my one hour of television with the characters I love to love( Vicky, Jake, Rachel, Felicia, Cass, Joe, Paulina,etc.), and the ones I love to hate (Grant, Jordan Stark, Cindy, Tito, etc.) Please don't take this show off the air. PLEASE DON'T! But if this ends up happening no matter what the loyal fans want, please let these people know just how much they are respected and loved and appreciated. Thankyou. Paige
