Review: Book Review

This well-crafted and hilarious book is effortless to read. The author, Richard Stockton, gives you a short, concise empowerment technique, and then follows with hilarious jokes and stories. Through hysterically funny, true stories and laugh-out loud jokes, you get a Three-Step Method to identify your own dreams and stay on track by reframing your fears. I loved his encounter with the meat cleaver-wielding landlord, and the skateboarder riding a tornado. While the author purposefully goes for getting you to laugh every time, I kept thinking, "I can use this."
In a culture driven by fear, this book will make you feel good.

Summary: My Favorite Bathroom Reader
Review: Don't go into another interview without reading this book first. In fact, I wouldn't suggest you ask for a raise, a divorce, or go bungie jumping without Sticky Icy Dickie Bob either. This is the funniest book I've ever read about dealing with risk and fear and I don't even remember seeing the "R" word. It's been awhile since I read a book published by a celebrated motivational speaker that had animated flip pages... no wait, this IS the FIRST I've ever seen. I've never had so much fun building courage and neither will you.

Summary: Using Humor to Motivate
Review: Take one part motivational speaker, one part amazing insight into human nature, and add two parts comedian, and you have "Fondle the Fear." I laughed throughout the book -- so much of it is right-on in terms of how humans act and react to the everyday things. The author uses humor (and lots of it) to illustrate how to take our basic fears and put a positive spin on it. This book would make a great gift for practically anyone with a sense of humor. I highly recommend this book if you want to laugh and learn something about yourself at the same time. I'd like to see this guy in person -- I bet he's funny on stage.
