Rating: Summary: All you wanted to know about Roswell.... Review: Fans of the TV show, Roswell,- formerly on the WB, now playing in syndication on Sci Fi channel, will not be disappointed in this book . It is an indepth viewer guide that has a list of actors/their bios, the history of the show and episode guide for all 3 seasons. A nice bonus is the chapter on the fans and how they impacted the show with their campaigns, letter writing and loyalty. Also included is a brief outline of the events of the real Roswell Incident that occured in 1947 in New Mexico. For fans of the show and those that have seen the episodes, this is a nice guidebook to give you more info.
Rating: Summary: A lot of information, useful to any Roswell fan Review: I bought this book because I couldn't remember the details of all of the episodes and I wanted to learn more. For your money you get a chapter on the history of the real Roswell crash, told just a little differently than what I'd read in the past. This is followed by cast biographies & pictures (this part is now getting just a little out of date), chapters 3-7 consist of things about the fans, conventions/ charity work inspired by the show, a few websites (one of which identifies film locations)& trivia stuff-and quite a few pictures. The bulk of the book is an episode guide for all three seasons, complete with air dates cast ,guest cast, episode synopsis and various little sections on different aspects of each episode. I liked the fact that the author would often put in a little criticism of script flaws and I especially liked the way some episodes were idenified as having mistakes (a couple of episodes have film crew members at least partially visible). I liked having a listing for the music on each episode but this may not be of much use to DVD owners as some of the music will be changed from the broadcast version of the show. My main gripe is that I would've liked more information but his book will certainly get you by.
Rating: Summary: Crash Into Me Review: I have long been a fan of the show Roswell since accidentally coming across the series premiere on the WB. It is my favorite all time show actually and I have been thirsty for any info I could get on the show. This book is very informative and has a lot of information I was looking for. The episode summaries are also great. I like learning facts I didnt catch myself or dont remember. The one pet peeve I have about this book is it has, like way too many exclamation points!!!!!!!! That may be geared more to the younger readers as to where I am 27 years old.
Rating: Summary: A Out-Of-This-World Book Review: I think that this book is outstanding. It give you a timeline of events that happened on June 24th - July 10th 1947, in Roswell, New Mexico. The book also tells about the television series "Roswell " which is based on the 1947 crash and the Roswell High books written by Melinda Metz. If you're a Roswell fanatic then this is the book for you. Its has The Episode Guide for all three seasons, colored and black and white pictures of the cast, and to test your Roswell knowledge a Roswell quiz. I highly recommend this book if you're a sci-fi reader.
Rating: Summary: I only gave it a star bc I had to Review: OK...I know that a lot of people love the Tv show Roswell, but before the show was created, I was a hardcore fan of the books that the show was supposed to be based on. I was so excited when I found out they were making the show, but I could not have been more disappointed. Seriously, if you want to read something good, read Roswell High by Melinda Metz. It's the original story about Max, Liz, Michael, Maria, Alex, and Isabel. It's an awesome series and it's soooo much better than the show ever was!
Rating: Summary: Another great show cut short... Here's what u need to know Review: Roswell was the second show from producer Jason Katims, that found it's audience and was let go. ( The other being My So called Life) 'Crash Into Me' will help those who were fans relive the drama, and it will make fans of those who missed it first time around. ( You can catch Roswell on SciFi ) This book not only gives information on the show, and it's characters, but it tells of the Summer of 47', when a spacecraft supposedly crashed in Roswell, New Mexico. What I find particularly informative about the book, is it lists the music from each episode, which I think is key. Many then not so popular bands, had some really good songs featured on the show.
