Rating: Summary: SHODDY, POORLY RESEARCHED, INCOMPLETE Review: This book is shallow in its research, without even bothering to dig up the real story by conducting hours of interviews with the people involved in the "Paul-Is-Dead" rumor. Even the "quiz" at the top of this page is rife with errors---the title of the book, THE WALRUS WAS PAUL, refers specifically to the song "Glass Onion" (of which it is a key line), not "I Am the Walrus". If you really want to learn about the history of this rumor and its place in rock history, the book to buy is Andru Reeve's TURN ME ON, DEAD MAN, also available through Amazon.Com--- It's the superior tome.
Rating: Summary: A fascinating look at the greatest mystery in rock history Review: This book is very well written. I never dreamed there were so many clues to the "Paul is dead phenonmena! The color photos are great, (especially the secret message in the Sgt. Pepper's drum skin!) and the 'clues' are arranged in chronological order. I couldn't put this book down! I bet you won't be able to either!
Rating: Summary: Great book! Review: This book was great. I saw my friend reading it in school, and me being a long-time Beatles fan asked her what it was about. When she told me, I was creeped out. I had never heard of the Paul is Dead hoax, and I belived it for a while, but then i bought another book on it while I was waiting to receive this one. The other book put too much disbelif into it. When I got this one, it wasn't as much fun as it could have been because I didnt beleive it as much anymore. I sugest if you want this book to be the best it could on the subject, read it before ant others. Other than the other book distroying most of the fun in it, It was an Awsome Book!!!
Rating: Summary: A Very Intriguing Beatles book Review: This book was very good. It had some clues in it that i never would have guessed. Some of the clues can be a litle stupid but in the beginning of the book the author admits it. Any Beatles fan should own a copy of this very interesting book.
Rating: Summary: Cute little book Review: This is a cute little book for any Beatles fan, assuming you don't take the whole "paul is dead" thing seriously. There is some intresting Beatles history, and the book even talks a little about Charles Manson, which is on the subject of hidden messages. As far as rating the book goes, I gave it 3 stars for two reasons. First of all, like I said, it's a cute little book. To rate more than 3 stars (for me anyway) a book needs to more than "cute" and more than 208 pages (which includes the bibliography). Second, I feel there should have been a few more pictures in the book. If you are going to talk about pictures on the cover of the Yellow Submarine, show what it is you are talking about. Other than those two things, it's a good read for an airplane, a long afternoon, or something like that.
Rating: Summary: YOU DECIDE Review: THIS IS A VERY INTERESTING BOOK THAT I JUST HAD TO HAVE AFTER I READ ABOUT IT. BECAUSE I'M SUCH A BIG BEATLES FAN? NO, BECAUSE I'VE ALWAYS BEEN AMUSED BY ALL THE "PAUL IS DEAD" SPECULATION. NO MATTER WHICH SIDE OF THE FENCE YOU ARE ON, YOU HAVE TO ADMIT SOME OF THIS STUFF IS FREAKY, COINCIDENTAL, AND DOWN RIGHT REACHING FOR IT. EITHER WAY, THIS IS A GOOD REFERENCE BOOK TO MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND. OR JUST DO WHAT I DO AND READ IT LIKE ALL THE ROSWELL/UFO STUFF - IT MAKES FOR GOOD FICTION. IF ANY OF IT TURNS OUT TO BE TRUE THEN YOU'LL BE UP TO SPEED (BUT ENTERTAINED IN THE MEANTIME). I REALLY ENJOYED PATTERSON'S DISCUSSION ON TYING IN THE WORKS OF LEWIS CARROLL. NOW GO PUT ON YOUR HEADPHONES, DUST OFF YOUR TURNTABLE, AND RUIN ANOTHER NEEDLE (OR USE A SIMPLE CHILD'S TOY AND USE YOUR CASSTTES). FOR THE RECORD, LET ME JUST STATE THAT I WAS NEVER THE WALRUS. GOO GOO G'JOOB.

Rating: Summary: An Interesting book Review: This was an interesting book but I believe the author should have included the evidence outside the Beatles music. The book "Carry That Weight" carries more of the logic behind the death and replacement of Paul. Overall this was a fun work.
Rating: Summary: a "John Is Dead" clue Review: With all the "Paul is dead" clues, just think how desperately they would have love to offer the butcher cover (early 1966) into evidence. Not to mention the picture of a dead McCartney with the other beatles with hat out to collect money (circa 1962)
If you want REAL CREEPY, in Magical Mystery Tour, John is behind a retail counter, in front of him is the banner "THE BEST WAY TO GO IS M D & C." Magical Mystery Tour was released Dec 8, 1967.
John Lennon was murdered on Dec 8, the murderer's initials are MDC, how's that for creepy !
