Summary: A fascinating journey of a young gay raconteur.
Review: Scott Thompson has the most developed imagination I have ever seen. At times ribaud, but always bizarrely fantastical, I haven't laughed this much since Cedaris' "Naked." Appealing to both straights and gays. I want more books from Scott Thompson on ALL the characters he played on "Kids in the Hall!"

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I laughed so often other people got mad.
Review: Scott Thompson rules! This is one of the funniest books I've read in ages. Hilarious as it is ridiculous. I read it on a vacation in Puerto Rico. I laughed out loud so many times that my friends were embarassed to be around me when I was reading. Only a joyless person could find fault in this awesome book. The book looks like I've had it a hundred years because I keep going back and reading stuff to people or lending to friends. I just may have to buy another copy.

Summary: Quite funny, but unable to sustain itself
Review: So I'm not gay. So what? I read the book and I have to say, it was funny. Really funny. Having said that, I did have a few complaints. Thompson and Bellini start out strong, adding a slice of "gayness" to each sentence and every scene. Then, somewhere in the middle of the book, they started to become...well, lazy. The little details, the touches of over-the-top gay flare became less frequent. It felt like Thompson was trying to wrap up his story with a nice, clean pink ribbon, rather than get the laughs the first half holds. Should you read it? Certainly, but maybe you should set it down half-way, before the smile slowly relaxes off your face.

Summary: Buy this and laugh yourself silly!!
Review: The four funniest books I have read in my life were: 1) Candide by Voltaire, 2) A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy O'Toole, 3) My Gorgeous Life by Dame Edna (Barry Humphries) and 4) Buddy Babylon. This book is so funny, I was laughing out loud while reading it during lunch at a restaurant. Scott Thompson is funny to the extreme. And I do not mean "smile" funny but out loud hilarious funny. This is the kind of comic book I will be reading every couple of years just to enjoy all of the routines and great lines over and over again. Absolutely the funniest book in years!!!

Summary: Funny and, surprisingly, very touching
Review: This book is extremely funny and entertaining. I never got bored reading it, and for me that's quite an accomplishment. What surprised me, though, is how well-written and genuinely touching it was. Don't take me wrong-it's not schmaltzy or anything-but the characters seem real.

OK, maybe not the two-headed daughter.

Summary: Buddy Babylon is the best
Review: This book, in my opinion, is the funniest book I have ever read. I bought it and I have read it about 5 times. Buddy Babylon and his amazing adventures are great for anyone who is a fan of The Kids in the Hall. If you don't know who those guys are, than read the book, it's funny anyway!

Summary: Scott is a god
Review: This is one of the best books I have read in many years. I was rolling on the floor laughing at least ten times during course of this book. I would recomend it to anybody who enjoys Scott's work. I think I have read the book 5 times since I bought it last month. 6 stars!

Summary: Classic!
Review: Well, I'm not much of a reader, and this book sat on my shelf for months. But once I finally decided to sit down and read it... damn! I took it to work with me, and on the subway.. and read it and laughed to myself with people around me thinking I was nuts. There are too many great lines from this book, and its one of the funniest things I've read in a long time....Its Very sarcastic (lots of things that will fly over your head if yer not paying attention).. Very witty.. I loved it! And am I gay? nope... This book is for anyone with an open mind and a good sense of humor :-)

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I could read it over and over again
Review: When I finished this book I was disapointed... because I didn't want it to end! If you want a good laugh, I'd recomend it, especially for the hardcore KITH fan. I think I may start reading it again now... :)
