Summary: "...Therefore inventing the review"
Review: ...i finished this book about a week and a half ago, and my god...i'm still laughing. i've found myself ever since telling people about parts of the book that were hilarious, but, since they haven't had the pleasure, you know, it's the 'had to be there' sort of thing...But what makes the book is Scott and Paul's sharp senses of humour; the insanity and abnormal logic that makes you laugh out loud. And the honesty will make you read on.

I can't wait to devour another.

Summary: Got you back
Review: A first-person account of Canada's most (in)famous barhopping ...
The road starts with a leap-year birth, and follows him on as the winner Canada's most beatiful feet', into a cocaine fueld populated by lesbian wives, lovers, and a particularly glamerous pig.
Which leads all the way back to a barstool, back home in Canada.

The 'Kids' now Scott Thompson, with the aid of show-writer Paul Bellini, ontroduce Charles Butterick Cole.

Summary: Scott Thompson's most hilarious alter-ego
Review: Being a Kids in the Hall fan, I may be biased, but I have loaned this book to some of my friends who aren't quite so lucky to have experience the hilarity of the Kids. They have quite enjoyed the book, and rightly so! It is a well-written, and although unsuffice enough to say, very funny. Scott's character recalls hilarious anecdotes and manages to make something that would normally be serious and unlaughable into just that, a laughing matter. I suggest this book to anyone unless you're homophobic; you never get the full gist of Buddy Cole's flamingness until you read Buddy Babylon. It's great.

Summary: Sort of mediocre
Review: Buddy Cole is much more appealing on stage than in the written word. Some funny gay bits, and interesting Toronto references if you should ever go there. Save the money to go see KITH's latest tour when it comes near you (esp. for the sarcastic 9/11 references). What is holding Scott (and KITH) back from really cutting sketches, huh? What about Canada's loony PC censorship, academic free-speech harrassment, massive immigration problems, and the fact that salaries are 1/2 to 2/3 of US? Look to Python and Benny Hill for examples ..

Summary: One of the best books I've ever had the pleasure of reading.
Review: Cheers to Mr.Thompson for this extremely humerous look at gay life through the truly fabulous eyes of Mr. Buddy Cole. I laughed so hard I fell off the stairmaster at the gym (only read this book in public if you don't mind people edging away from you as you laugh out loud.) I was fortunate enough to hear Mr.Thompson at one of his last readings in San Francisco, and later have the book signed by him. I would hope the publishers at Dell Island Books give Scott the huge advancement on his next book he so richly deserves.

Summary: My sides hurt and I scared people on the train!
Review: I admit it, I thought Buddy was WONDERFUL on Kids In The Hall. I watched him so many times I learned the monologues. Now I have a whole new source to draw from. I laughed so hard at parts of this book I actually drew the attention of people on the train I take home. I am giving my copy to my roommate to read when I am done. And I would suggest it to anyone with a biting sence of humor, and an open mind. BUY IT! (And as a side note, I don't know if it helps to be gay or not. I am gay, so I don't know what it would be like to read this book as a straight person!)

Summary: Cornygirl, Cornygirl, Cornygirl!
Review: I have never laughed out loud at a book before, but Buddy Babylon made me spit my water halfway across the room quite a few times. By far, the funniest book i've ever read.

Summary: Babylon me ANYTIME!
Review: I have read this book 27 times already, and it gets better each read! If you think your life is a little sick and twisted, read Buddy's story! I am a huge fan of The Kids in the Hall, and think Scott Thompson is GOD! This book peeks into why Buddy is the way he is...FLAWLESS! You have never read a more creative book in your life, nor will you ever, (unless part two comes about)! Reading this book will leave you continually fantisizing about the Canadian wilderness, and thanking God your not there! You will become a child again, and pretend Buddy is a close personal friend, (who you don't like)! I no linger fear circus freaks, but now love them as other people's children. This book is a true spititual journey! Buddy is genius!
