Rating: Summary: This book was GREAT!!! Review: Great book! It has plenty of background info and production and prepoduction work. The Glenn Keane animation drawings alone are worth getting the book. I enjoy the behind the seens work in animation productions as well as the films themselves. I believe this book satisfies interest on both accounts. This book is a welcome addition to anyone's library. I look forward to seeing the movie.
Rating: Summary: An amazing look into the world of Treasure Planet Review: I already loved the movie, so I was exstatic to purchase this book. It helped me learn more in-depth into the characters and their backgrounds. It was also funny to see the character development pics. They looked so bizzare. All in all, the high price is worth it. I am so glad that I bought this book!
Rating: Summary: Delightful piece for any fan or collector Review: I thorougly enjoyed the movie "Treasure Planet" for the art as much as the story. It really was one of Disney's most beautiful films. That's why I enjoyed this book so much. It gives an in-depth look at the art, the style, the making, etc. Each character is discussed with their background. Best of all, there are amazing pictures--sketch, rough-draft, final--that are absolutely georgous. This book is a great look into the movie. If you loved "Treasure Planet", you will appreciate this.
Rating: Summary: Should be available in HARDCOVER format Review: The book's overview of the movie is excellent, but Disney fans deserve a more durable chronicle (i.e., hardcover) of the film! Likewise, there was no hardcover tome of "Lilo & Stitch", much to the displeasure of many hardcore Disney fans (including myself). The upcoming Disney/Pixar film, "Finding Nemo", has a companion book that is a quality sewn hardcover. Why doesn't Disney itself insist on such top-quality books for _all_ films produced under its own (exclusive) label?
Rating: Summary: Not only a great coffe table, also a "before slumber" book Review: This sort of new type of "Behind the Scenes" and "The Art of" books created lately by disney is great. The price is more than just right. The quality of the form is awesome: great pictures, quality of the paper... and the content is very good also: a real close up look at the process of making the film. Also, a very interesting analysis of the virtual world created by Disney for this film. When I saw the movie I simply enjoyed it. Now that the video-dvd is comming out, I can't wait to own it and watch the film again, thanks to this book. The analysis of all the parafernalia, the planets that were created, the imagery, the psychological study of the characters and the animation itself, both 2D and 3D is really good. I truly recommend this book to any Disney aficionado. It helps you understand the film better. Also, the process of its creation. It's a treasure in itself. You don't need to go to any planet to get it.

Rating: Summary: Nicely done book Review: While not as extensive as the old Hyperion editions, this 'art of' Treasure Planet is a good, solid book, a must for fans of the film. The work goes into detail on all the major designs and characters and gives us pictures of even the minorest walk on. I would have liked a bit more art from the film, but given the shoddy way Disney seems to be abandoning this film, I'm pleased we got this book at all. A nice piece of work and a must for any fan of the film or Disney collector.
