Rating: Summary: The Patrick System is first-rate Review: None of the previous reviewers have mentioned the most important thing about this book: the Patrick System. This method of playing craps, which he explains about two thirds of the way through the book (and which begins with the brilliant move of betting both the "Pass Line" AND "Don't Pass" at the same time!!) gives the bettor the lowest vig (best odds) against the house of any system I know...
Rating: Summary: Best Book on Craps I have read Review: This book is great! It covers a number of right betting techniques, then the don't side then a few hedges and finaly puts them all together in a trend system that wins for me at the $5 table. I have won $540 in 4 sessions starting with a $220 buy in each time (I had one really good session, 2 pretty good, and one loss). And I gave back $100 after I had ended a couple of sessions proving that the displine section of this book is the hardest to master. It is tough to quit when you are ahead... really tough. But at least this book can get you ahead. The rest is up to you. I found this book as complex if not more so than his book titled "Advanced Craps". If you want to stop playing stupid, read this book and play by the rules.
Rating: Summary: If you ever played or wanted to play craps, read this book. Review: This is a good book to start to take you to the next level (from beginner to intermediate) as a craps player. JP has some interesting and thought provoking betting strategies & lays it all out for you. Only negative is his constant editorializing. Skip over it.

Rating: Summary: If you ever played or wanted to play craps, read this book. Review: This is without a doubt John Patricks best book. If you are confused by the game of craps - read this book! If you play but find yourself losing in the end - read this book! If you think you are a good craps player - read this book and find out for sure! This books money management and discipline systems changed me from a pathetic gambler to one of, if not, the best in the casino. Do not go into a casino again without learning John's money management and discipline systems.
Rating: Summary: Too preachy. Review: While the basics are described adequately, the author's personal preferences are forced upon the reader without qualified support. The methods and approaches described are not statistically correct and the author "talks down" to the reader. There is relatively little new insight offered into the game that other books offer in a more readable form.
