Summary: Happy Times
Review: I have just finsihed reading Those Wide Open Spaces and it is a great book. It is a book that the whole family will enjoy. It has been a long, long time since I went to those Saturday matinee movies in Philadelphia and watched by hero on the screen, Roy Rogers. This book brought back such wonderful memories that I had forgotten. The biographies about each star was very interesting with information that I had never known before. You will really enjoy this book and I recommend it for all ages. Looking forward to his next book.

Summary: Those Wide Open Spaces
Review: In these days of eroding family values, there comes an important book, just in time. Hank Williams' book can bring us back to the days of his youth where kids could go to the movies for really wholesome entertainment. While the book contains many facts, such as, How many films Johnny Mack Brown made,(111 B-westerns)? Hank shows his lifelong study of movie cowboys by relating detailed facts of their lives and movie careers. The book is worth the price just for the unique pictures alone. Its good to see that these clean-cut movie heros will not be forgotten. If you are also an animal lover, you will drool over hanks description of each Hero's horse and how the cowboys came to own them. For those of us who went to the movies as a kid, or watched these cowboys on early TV, you will find "Those Wide Open Spaces both interesting and refreshing.

Summary: Days of Yesteryear
Review: Relive those wonderful "days of yesteryear" when the Saturday matinee was a dime and you saw 2 Westerns, a serial, cartoon, short subject and a newsreel. Those Wide Open Spaces is a joy to read. It is well organized with little known stories about our Western Heroes, their horses and above all, the women that played a major role in these films. A truly important work and a must for those of us who appeciated the positive influence that Hopalong Cassidy, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers and all the other movie cowboys had on our lives.
