Rating: Summary: My True Opinion Review: I think this book is great!Because it is funny and because it's better than the regular one. Alexander T.Wolf should be in jail because he ate ate two innocent pigs.
Rating: Summary: TheTrueStory of theThreeLittlePigs Review: This story is about what really happend with the Big Bad Wolf and the three little pigs.Mr.A.T.Wolf was baking a birthday cake for his dear old granny when henoticed he ran out of suger. After he noticed he grabbed a empty cup and walked down the street to his neighbors house.A.T.'s neighbor was one of the three little pigs who was pretty dumb because he built his house out of straw so anyways he knocked on the door but there was no answer so he was about to leave when all of usuden he sneezed and the house colssped and there in the middle of the pile was the pig dead as a doornail so the wolf ate him so he wouldn't spoil.Next he went to the pigs brother and his house was made of sticks then he did the exact same thing as last time and ate that pig to.Last he went to the last pigs house whos house was made out of bricks and the pig told him to leave and he made fun of his granny and after that he tried to break in and then the cops caught him and in the paper they lied and thats the story.
Rating: Summary: Terrific fun! Review: I used this in the classroom with 8th graders and they got such a kick out of it. Now, my children enjoy this as well. Turning the story aorund to see someone else's point of view is very valuable to children. Excellent concept. Fresh, innovative.
Rating: Summary: The Real Story of the Three Little Pigs Review: This story says that u shouldn't believe everything you hear because not all of it is right. The wolf is saying that it wasn't how it seemed in the story the three little pigs. He was telling his side of the story. The lesson in this story is that you shouldn't believe everything you hear, and this is a good lesson for kids to learn. The age level of this book is about a 1st to 4th. I liked this book and I think that even adults can enjoy this book and find some humor in it.
Rating: Summary: the same story from a different angle Review: Take the "The Three Little Pigs" and tell it from the Wolf's point of view and you end up with this wonderfull book. The story doesn't change except it is the Wolf who tells this version and why everything happened. The wolf claims victim status and claims this is all a misunderstanding with the pigs being at fault. It is truly fun and wonderfull that both children and adults will enjoy.
Rating: Summary: What Really Happened Review: We all know the story of the 3 little pigs but is it the true story? In the original story the 3 little pigs were the protaganists and the wolf was the villian. But now we hear the story from the wolf's point of veiw in "The True Story Of The 3 Little Pigs!" written by Jon Scieszka. It seems The Big Bad Wolf, with a Big Bad Cold, only wanted to bake a cake for his dear old granny. When he went to his neighbors for a cup of sugar, he sneezed their houses down and he coudn't leave good meat to spoil. So when the media saw the incident they thought it was too boring. So they spiced it up with "The Big Bad Wolf," and he was locked away. This book is a great read for kids as well as adults. The pictures in this book are very amusing to look at and is good for bedtime stories. Parents your kids will love this book and kids your parents will love it too!

So then he ate the little pig and then he went to the pigs neighbor and sneeze and blew down his house to, and then ate him. Later on he went to the last house and his was made out of brick so when he sneezed the house didn't fall over and then police came and arrested him then the reporters made a huge lye out of everything.
Rating: Summary: creative and funny Review: This book is great. I'm having trouble parting with it- originally I wanted to give it as a gift- guess I need to order another. I used this book to jumpstart a creative writing assignment in my jr/sr high class. My students were very attentive and curious to see just how the story unfolds. Scieszka's wolf tells a great story about what REALLY happened with him and the 3 little hams. It's very entertaining to the age group prescribed (around 9 yrs old,) and I would add up to adult. (Not for the 3 yr old- my daughter was oh, so bored when I tried it out on her- she didn't get it.)
Rating: Summary: GREAT book for not only kids but ADULTS..trust me!! Review: I'm STILL chuckling after buying this book and reading it before gifting it to my nephew Greg, 11, and Kayla, 7. And,. as with other books by Jon Scieszka, the huge problem is: I want this book for MYSELF. The bottom line is that in his version, wonderfully illstrated by Lane Smith, the Three Little Pigs is the ultimate story of SPIN CONTROL. This time, unlike in a zillion other versions, the wolf is telling HIS side of the story -- what REALLY happened. And to hear him tell his story (with all of the familiar elements and a delicious economy of words) it's all a terrible mistunderstanding about his allergy, his desire not to waste food, and distortions by the press. None of this gives any of this away, since the genius of this is not only in the conception, but in the TELLING of the story. Don't consider this just a book for kids. You can EASILY gift it to friends, relatives, favorite (and unfavorite) politicians and members of the media. It's the perfect late 20th-early-21st century retelling of the story, with the wolf as the poor misunderstood victim (of the police, the media, and his health etc). Just like the old Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons, this works on two levels so the adults will be as delighted as the kids by this story -- which could easily have run as one of Mad Magazine's better pieces. Get it for the kids, read it for yourself...and get ready to realize what a great gift this would be for adults of any political persuasions. LOVED IT so much...I hate to give this to the kids! Kids of ALL ages will love this story, whether you read it to them or they read it themselves (so will the kids under 40 years old).
Rating: Summary: A new view of an old story Review: This is a five star book! You have probably read The Three Little Pigs, but not the wolves side of the story. The bad guys in this story are the pigs. This is a good book for kids 8, 9, and 10. The pictures are great and the story will give you a laugh.
