Review: This is more of a movie review than a script comment. "American Beauty" is an extraordinary film, and it works on so many levels. The performances (especially Kevin Spacey's) are superb, and it's visual sense is nothing short of cinematic poetry. But if there's one aspect that really stands out, it's the script, never have I read such a truthful and penetrating story of American suburbia. Every line rings true, and it perfectly shapes the character from whom it's coming from. It's alternately bitterly funny and profoundly moving, delving into the core of life and never shying away from it's realities. I was genuinely amazed with the way the story unfolded, it wasn't just like watching a movie, it was like peering into a couple of lives with a searing intensity. "American Beauty" is definitely a film you want to see, it's too good to miss.

Review: This movie is got to be my favorite movie that I will ever see in my life time. This movie has a great story line and sends a moral for everyone who watches the film. I really don't know what to say about this awesome film, but thoughout the whole movie I was riding the enjoyment of American Beauty. I didn't know it could be so beautiful. What I learned was, you can't worry about all the things in your life because its just too much and soon, things will begin to fall apart somehow. I guess then you suppose to let many of aspects of you life to face the fall.

American Beauty satarizes the family social structure, and critiques our everyday roles that we assume as family members, employees, lovers, and even strangers. This movie brings into question of just what life is, and how we assume our own illusions. American Beauty is a must see!

Review: This was one of the finest screen plays that I have ever read. I would almost rather have read it first then see the movie first. The way that Ball tells his story is incredilbe. Reading this screen play helps you to fully understand the greatness that is American Beauty. The story is amazing. The character has such depth and the atmosphere and visual imagery that Ball creates is breath talking. It is truly a master piece and deserving of it's Oscar.

Review: This was so amazing, I saw the movie when it first came out, and wanted the script for memrobilia. I got it on Friday and read it in two hours. Then I made other people read my favorite lines. Its also neat that the day I read the script is the same day the movie gets rereleased in theatres. Im so glad I have this.
