Rating: Summary: A Masterpiece Review: I absolutely love it! This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. I just wish I could give it 10 stars. I really hope Kevin Spacey (who is my favourite actor since I saw his brilliant performance in "Usual Suspects")gets the Oscar. Thank you Sam Mendes for making this BEAUTIFUL film!
Rating: Summary: Think, don't just read. Review: I am approaching 25, but I was first exposed to it when I was 23. I got very much from reading it then, and now I have got more from reading it again. And I am sure I will get even more in the future. Food for thought, while it is entertaining at the same time.
Rating: Summary: Why don't people appreciate great movies anymore? Review: I am only thirteen years of age, but I can tell a great movie when I see one. The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Thin Red Line, The English Patient, The Green Mile, Magnolia, and most of all, my personal favorite movie, American Beauty. It seems nowadays everybody (at least my age) thinks Deuce Bigalow is a great movie and movies like The Thin Red Line and American Beauty suck because they're "boring." Well I personally found this movie to be amazing. Everything from the acting to the writing to the directing to the cinematography to the editing to the music and on and on. It's a shame people can't appreciate movies like they used to, because movie goes far beyond many movies in the past decade. I really do think this will be the Citizen Kane of the '90s. A Must see!
Rating: Summary: I love it Review: I love it, after I've read it, I've burst into tears. From this book, I learnt a lot about life.
Rating: Summary: A great companion to the movie! Review: I loved the film, American Beauty. It is, quite simply, my favorite movie of all time! This screenplay is just as captivating as the movie... Because, in many ways, it is the movie! Alan Ball's script is really what made American Beauty the film that made jaded American moviegoers stand up and say "Thank you!" We can only hope that future filmmakers are taking note... Simply put, it is destined to become a treasured piece of modern Americana. :-)
Rating: Summary: Just as beautiful as its title describes! Review: I loved the movie, so naturally, I fell in love with this script. It is very moving; the emotion is its driving force, and it is pulled off splendidly with this script. There isn't much more to say about it except that this is simply and truly a brilliant work of art! (Oh, and to Jodie O'Flaherty, if you read this, the movie is supposed to be coming out on the 9th of May! )
Rating: Summary: I can't get it out of my mind Review: I saw the movie and literally couln't move...something passed over in me and I felt a sense of awareness like never before. Days after I still thought about and felt it deeply. It truely is remarkable--
Rating: Summary: I can't get this movie out of my thoughts Review: I saw the movie on Monday, and I can't stop thinking about it. I love Kevin Spacey, and he is phenomenal as Lester Burnham. The movie will make you laugh, cry, and think about life. I have to see it again! The first time I saw it I was caught up in what was going to happen next. I'm going back to understand why the characters did what they did. Lester Burnham is every ordinary man's hero.
Rating: Summary: I loved every minute of this wonderfully written script! Review: I thought the movie script well written and incredibly open and honest. It brings me to a place no other movie script has taken me...a place where the real world meets the hollywood screen. It was great!
Rating: Summary: Breathtaking... Review: I was amazed by this screenplay. The imagery made the text come alive; it reads much like the movie is viewed: one breathtaking scene after the next.
