Summary: Humorous and enjoyable
Review: Everyone in my family owns dogs, and we all laughed at the text and the graphics. The funny part is that so much of the book is true and one can really relate to what the author is describing.

Summary: Hits Close To Home¿
Review: I loved this book. Everything in it reminds me of the fun and antics that I experience with my two Pugs. I would highly recommend this to any dog owner or soon to be dog owner. It is a lot of fun and has many "out loud" laughs.

Summary: A book for every dog owner
Review: I owned a dachshound small enough to fit under my couch, a wolfhound too large to fit anywhere, a fox terrier who did backflips for his own amusement, a cocker spaniel with his own list of TV favorites.

As different as my dogs might have been, they all had one thing in common. All were neurotic.

It was they who inspired "How To Live With A Neurotic Dog." It occured to me that my dogs were no different from yours -- or anyone else's, for that matter.

This book deals with one dog problem at a time. Training, sleeping habits, grooming, traveling, playing with, dog and your cat, dog and your baby, analyzing a neurotic dog...it's all here.

Do's and don't follow each chapter. A few examples:

Do remember: dog's best friend is man. Not the other way around.

DON'T let your dog interfere with your sleeping schedule. If he keeps you awake, go take the living room couch.

DON'T give him food fit for a dog. Remember, man invented dog food, not dogs. They were not even consulted.

DO discuss problems with your dog. Dogs prefer persuasion to force. If he yawns, stop.

DON'T waste your money on professional fees for your dog analysis. You will need that money for your own sessions.

Please note that the book is richly illustrated. Some dogs are slow readers. They prefer pictures to words.

Summary: If you are a REAL Dog Owner, you need this book!
Review: My daughter gave me this book for Christmas. It made my day! I could swear that my 4 year old Chinese Sharpei, Smokey, had written it! I looked over and he was watching me while I read and laughed my way through it. My neighbor has the world's "dumbest and biggest" bulldog, Duke and I am getting him a copy. My son is a Vet, and he is getting a copy! Read it and see your self in this Dog-Mirror!

Summary: Dog Neurosis?
Review: Stephen Baker's title indicates that the dogs are the ones who are neurotic but I felt this hilarious book showed just how neurotic we humans are in our relationships with our dogs. The reading was light, fun and more acurate than most of us would like to think! A must for anyone who is sure their dog is "human".
